Tried it for a few minutes, but the rom is still 4.2.2 en includes the standard TCL launcher. There are some chinese apps in it. WIl post screenshots later as edit.

Hey guys, does it matter which variant of the phone I have? I have the 6040A and I want to install chinese language on it. Can I just flash any of those roms. I'm also based in canada with bell, anyone had any experience with that?

Which one is the most stable, that has chinese support?

Try Lewa OS...I think it will fit u...or 01008 from feese...look at some posts back for link

The most stable rom with chinese are 01008 from Feese or the newest MIUI / LEWA.

Dont know about flashing it on a 6040A, maybe with an Nandroid (recovery) backup you can try it.

I have an Alcatel SD card version and I'm on the 01005 build. I have problem with the camera and flash, in dark if I use flash I get a terrible quality and darkness, if I turn it off its quite decent.

Any news how the later builds fix this bug? Any workaroud known in case I dont want to flash a new rom?

Yes, the hardware is the same. I think we can cross-flash ROMs.

It seems to me that Feese doesn't own a 950 anymore or doesn't give the thing any attention atm. He is already busy in the 960 threads @ anzhi.

Didn't tried the unicum version, downloading it now. Will upload is later.

There are no other roms then the TNT104 or the TCL stock, but TNT is unstable and TCL is bloated.

Look at Laav spiler...go to mega and choose 01008 rom to install...it have not any problems

Explanation: Look at the signature of member Laav (Me ), and click on the MEGA link and choose there the 01008 rom from feese.
