Hi,

I have TCL Idol X S950 dual sim 16GB running stock 01013 firmware updated FOTA (in China), rooted using official English VRoot, installed Xposed 2.3.1 with newest GravityBox and I have two questions:

1. Is there any way how to enable on screen Navigation bar using GravityBox and replace this way quite insensitive capacitive buttons? I don't have problems to activate it on my Amoi N820 though that one has basically vanilla 4.2.2 ROM but following same steps it won't appear on S950 is it because of TCL modified ROM or is there some other module or way how to activate Navigation bar (without installing custom ROM).

2. Do all newer versions of Xposed than 2.3.1 cause bootloop or spefifically only 2.4/2.4.1 release and 2.5 and higher would be safe?

Recently I tried XPosed 2.6.1 but it caused boot loop on my 6040D running 01002.

Connect with ADB, and write from shell > adb reboot recovery

You probably needed to wipe cache /dalvik cache before the upgrade.

To upload the rom to CWM via adb :
adb root
adb push filename.zip /data/media/

EDIT: I have now a bootloop i cant go into recovery mode.....and the ADB tool says that no device is connected(installed all drivers) plss help me i need this phone ._.

Hey lads!

Will let full story in case of having all details, got last week TCL Idol X S950 from my friend son ... well he say he didn't do anything with it, but when i've got it, it was just reloading and that's it.
Had problems with installing drivers and finally when i found them, i've tried to use MtkDroidTools_v253, it just showed me NO info, no model, nothing! All fields were "Error: coudn't find ..."
TCL Updater - also didn't helped me....
Finally i reflashed it with FlashToolMod using ur ROM and it worked! "IT"S ALIVE!" ... and found another problem ... IMEI were empty ... all zeros 0000*******...
Here i've tried to use MtkDroidTools_v253 and it worked, but when i've tryed to change first sim card IMEI, coz i had only one founded from documents inside box. I've changed imei and i was told to restart it... i've resterted it with MTKDroid restart option, it turned off and didn't turned ON.

So practicly right now it's not even turning ON, battery had about 90%, it was just charged! It's not turning ON, but when i'm connecting it to PC via USB it's charging? (LED is ON)
But at device manager it's not like some device with problem, it's just like "Unknown Device" and i've tried all drivers... not helping.

Huh... have no idea what to do\try next... Any ideas?

Try to use "MTKDroid" to restart it to recovery mode

Hi all,

currently using aosp v 1.3.8, works very well, but i found that the battery drains very fast compare to stock,only manage to go up to 14h compare to 28h stock, bluetooth also not working, any solution to this?

Will check and come back with an update

Can you run install the wakelocker detector and see if there is an app thats keping the device up ?
Or check with CPU Spy teh states of the CPU.

Latest version of Xposed causes bootloop, so have the disable_xposed.zip script in you sd
EDIT: Added xposed 2.6 as attachment, which works just fine.
EDIT2: seems the issue is with gravity box 3.1.4 testing previous versions now..

Try to edit mtk-kpd.kl in custpack/usr/keylayout and remove the text WAKE_DROPPED from KEY 115 &116

Probably.

Disable xposed with the attached zip, and vwrify that you have version 2.3 before re-activating it.

Worked, thanks. Screen lock set, but I cant change wallpaper, it stops. Is there a fix for that?
