Worked, thanks. Screen lock set, but I cant change wallpaper, it stops. Is there a fix for that?

I change wallparers from desktop, long press, select wallpapers, pick your gallery and you're set.

i try nice roms here thankyou in special Idol-X Variants- S950 AOSP ...
but today im actualizing the AOSP but some was wrong... i try repair it with smart phone flash tool of this guide, it works my phone work, but i lose signal of my proveedor... and i cant find the solutions now... i try too much roms but continue the problem of the signal...

help me please im from chile

i look the initial logo change (no the boot animation) where it say "one touch idol x" for it is the problem? help... mi phone say "sim lock" and i try put the PIN and PUK... problem with kernel? ...
and when it works with other roms i never have good connection to internet, only EDGE, no 3G or HDSPA+
my alcatel have only one sim, no dual sim.

Use the Mobile Upgrade S Tool, to reset back to factory defaults. Ths is probably due to wrong modem or corrupted NVRAM.

Stuck on Bootloop

I think I did a mess with the recovery formatting data/system partition and now the recovery is not available.

I'm stuck on Bootloop and all solution proposed looks to not work:
- connect with charger and then unplugged it -> boot into recovery (not working: I manage to switch the phone off but It doesn't boot into recovery with Power+Volume Up)
- connect with ADB and reboot into recovery (not working: the phone is not viewed by adb )

What can I do ?

Is it possible to recover the phone using a backup ?
- if so, maybe some good user out there can share a backup so i can flash it in some way ?

You can recover it with SP Flash Tools or Mobile Upgrade S.

With SP Flash, after you select the scatter file, select only recovery, boot img and system. After that you should be able to reboot to recovery.

Or follow the instructions in OP, with SP Flash tool to wipe everything.

You would need to press the Power button for 15" while is connected to the PC for the SP Flash or Mobile Upgrade to see it.

Alright I got to reboot in recovery mode ( using the charger mode, still not sure what is the difference with the previous, numerous, attempt ).

I'm testing the new rom for Idol-X Variants- S950 AOSP v1.3.11

On my side I have the following problems.
Major issues:
- USB tethering is not working
- Definitely something wrong with magnetometer, gyroscope: the 'arrow' position on Gmap does not change
- Led Notification not working ( also with Gravibox tweak, so looks something in the kernel )
Minor issues:
- During installation/first configuration, keyboard was not working ( voice keyboard was displayed by default )
- Gravibox does not start -> start to work after reinstall Xposed Framework

I have teste ver 1.3.11 based on 10014 but It has many bugs so it will be great if you could re-add the previous roms ( I like lewa but theatering never worked for me with it on my TCL 950 ).

Are all roms listed here same for Alcatel idol x 6040 and tcl idol x s950 ?

Please help i have mest up my phone i have done a factory resset then i rebooted my phone and the launcher wont start settings app cant be launched from quick settings bar and the screen is black. What do i do now? Do i have to install a custom rom to fix this and is there any other way ? PLEASE REPLY ASAP

How to ROOT

1. - Root.
In "Settings" menu you have the "Developers options" if you have it in and enable USB debugging if you have no menu " Developer options go to Settings -> About phone and press 5 times on "Build number" to make this menu visible.

Hey man I'm pretty new to all this and was wondering if I could get a nooob play by play. I have the onentouch idol x 6040A. I have successfuly rooted and have supersu on 4.2.2. How do I actually flash a custom recovery? Or could you link me tothe right recovery iIMG and could I just use flashify or twrp manager to flash it?? Sorry if its a dumb question and thanks
