Brick

I played aroud with this phone. It was of the network, 1001 alcatel rom. Rooted afterwards, and a new rom put. 1002 I think. Than we went to TCL firmware. At that point I tried to return CWM backup of Alcatel and failed. First brick. Afterwards, I returned with flashtool TCL and all went well. Then I put some russian custom rom. However, I wanted back to Alcatel and I put 1001 with flashtool. However, without custpack and with preloader (I know a BIG NO-NO). Well, i got a bootloop. I then put TCL firmware 1006 with custpack and without preloader. Everything in order. Well, since then he will not turn on. When I plug in usb only thing that goes on is white LED. No device found on comp, no adb, nothing. Any ideas? Should I try to return it to network provider and play mad?

Use the Mobile Upgrade S tool from Alcatel or TCL homepage. If that doesnt work, you should try to return it.

Take a look at some of the previous post. There is a guide to flash the correct pro_info file, so that you can use Mobile Upgrade S. But I think its not going to work, since flash tool gives you some error.

not registering

Hi!

I have got a dual sim TCL S950. First I tried MIUI on it but I didn't like it, then when I tried to flash back a normal Alcatel/TCL rom, I might messed up something.
Since then, in Hungary, it just not find the signal. Today, I went to Wienna, Austria, and everything went back to normal, there was signal. And when I crossed the border back on my way to Hungary, the signal was gone, and it's not registering (I'm not sure it's the right word for it but I hope you understand) my sim cards on the hungarian networks. I have an austrian T-mobile sim and a hungarian Telenor sim, I need them because I work abroad. I tried to put the austrian card to an other phone, and since then that card is not working at all. But the biggest problem is that none of the card registering to hungarian network.

Do you heard something like that, or do you can help me? I'd be grateful for any kind of solution.

Thanks!

Help

Hello everyone!

I have a problem with my idol X

The phone was perfectly working until he just decided to go off. After this, i tried to charge it and to switch it on. No result. I tried then to change the firmware with SP flash tool, not booting.

The only thing that works is the white notification led. Also after I installed another firmware he booted two times (just the black screen with " Alcatel idol X" written.

I also tried mobile upgrade S. But this keep saying me "read information fail".

Does anyone now a solution that work for this problem?

Thanks a lot!!!

Return it to your carrier. They will replace it. My motherboard died. As described in some previous posts

you can try the official recovery tool, just simply follow the step and flash the original rom.

A lot of users are having issues with the latest version 1006 official, after they upgraded, so better keep a backup (CWM) before that upgrade.
Hey there,

Thank you very much for your post! I thought I had bricked my wife's phone while trying to upgrade the phone.

Alcatel Onetouch Upgrade is a ****ty software. You should stay away from it. And Onetouch Center is pretty bad as well. I can't use on Windows 8 to back up the phone since it only recognizes the phone when I connect it to the laptop and then crashes and stops working. Completely useless.

i tried to install it too and got bootloop, how you repair it? mine is 6040a from mexico
here is solution for xposed framework bootloop:

"In addition, Xposed now sports a safemode which allows you to disable Xposed during bootloops. To disable Xposed, you'll have to repeatedly tap one of the hardware buttons (Power, Volume, or Home) on your device during startup.

During boot, your device will vibrate twice when it detects the first key press. You'll then have five seconds to press that same button four more times, with each keystroke producing a short single vibration. After ending with a long vibration, your device will disable and prevent most of Xposed's actions, allowing you to easily troubleshoot problematic modules.

While it should work for the majority of bootloops, it's not a 100% guarantee, as there may be various issues causing a bootloop that have nothing to do with Xposed."
