Did anyone else flashed recovery successfully with this method? I flashed the KK ROM and recovery 4-5 times and can't seem to enter recovery. Probably it didn't flash right. Is there any other way to root it except with flash of su update?

i also having experience this before. flashed maybe 10 times and no custom recovery. this rom cant get root without custom recovery (i tried all!) but when i about to give up, flashed it for the last time and im about to back to stock it miraculously installed twrp recovery. dont know what happen there. use sp flash tool version 3 and 5. i think installed this using version 5

can anyone tell me how mobile upgrade identify my phone as alcatel and not tcl? or it can be done upon changing model in build.prop?

and if someone have stock rom for alcatel 6040d thanks

Every time i Flash another ROM it gives me the 4.4.2 Bootimage , even tho i flashed the AOSP rom given in the description.

the first upgrade will take a while. mine is about 14 hours

it worked for me on semi-bricked alcatel. i think you have to semi-brick your device and mobile upgrade will install the latest firmware on your phone

thats good. but its a good thing to have the files downloaded so anytime you semi-brick your phone you can just use mobile upgrade. after my 2nd upgrade (2nd semi-brick) it only takes 10-15 minutes
