hi, i figured alot out and managed to get the official alcatel rom on my tcl, i was just wondering if any knows if it is safe to try and use the alcatel update tool now i have the alcatel rom

I have Custom ROM on my TCL idol x now !!

I start Firmware > Upgrade with "mix tcl s950" then plug my tcl and wait 5 or 10 minutes before the app makes the flash ! :good:

Depuis quelques jours j'ai une notification qui me dit "échec de la mise à jour " lorsque je clique dessus je me retrouve dans le menu des mises à jour système et que j'essaye en manuel il me dit que mon système est à jour et pourtant ce message reviens quotidiennement ...
Est ce que l'un de vous à le même soucis ?

How can I do full backup of the phone ?? With all installed application and all settings.
when I had a full copy of my phone
how can I upload firmware/backup correctly so as not to lose any settings?

Hi, you have to do this with clockwork recovery, it completely backs the phone up, you have to install cwm recovery and perform a backup, thanks

I'm considering getting the TCL because I'm not able to find the Alcatel 6040D. I'm from Spain (Europe) and would be interested in the Alcatel model because I supose that this will include Spanish language along with Google apps and no usefulness chinese apps.

I can get the TCL from a local provider in Spain, so, Where could I get the Alcatel 6040D ROM and how to load it? And with this ROM on the TCL, is everything working ok? Camera, google play,...

Hi, i also got the tcl becase it was cheaper, i found a link to the Alcatel recovery file so now my tcl is identical to the Alcatel, it says the model is alcatel and it should have Spanish language as well, i found it on an Italian forum on a YouTube video description

Tested the '03-10 v.006 From official 1006 UNTESTED' several times today but without any luck. The phone is flashing fine but stays on a grey/black screen after the 'IDOL X' screen, looks like there is no boot animation and will not boot any further.

Tested on an TCL S950 with the 6.0.3.3 CWM recovery from TCLFAN and the CWM recovery of this thread.
