mobile upgrade s failed

so did what i did the other day but when i upgrade to mobile upgrade it says that i have the latest firmware for my phone even flashing 4.2.2 roms. i just lost that kitkat for alcatel

Thast's exactly what i meant with pro_info. This file contains the information mobile upgrade s needs to find an update suitable for your phone. Depending on your country code inside this file, you will either get the alcatel or the tcl rom.

but i never flashed pro_info before. just edit build.prop to show alcatel as my device via pc, but on TWRP backup its still tcl_s950 when i make backups via recovery. maybe it depends on region written on build.prop. in s4 rom i noticed this:

[B]ro.product.locale.language=en
ro.product.locale.region=US[/B]

that kitkat rom that mobile upgrade flashed to my phone is for alcatel because it has alcatel bloatwares. maybe just lucky to experienced that. got messed up with flashing recovery did not noticed that system, cache are checked therefore i have to stop it. my biggest mistake

I'm in Malaysia and did mobile upgrade after seeing your screenshot and yes, i do get kitkat version.... but never tried anything yet so far because i'm afraid Alcatel will pull the kitkat off their server due to some kind of error.

Anyway, i can rip and share out the rom if you want... just let me know how !

And maybe you should do a "brick" on your phone and you can try mobile upgrade S tool again..... not sure !

I'm on alcaltel stock firmware 1006, and current kitkat version is exactly same like you... how do you root your
phone?

so i guess this is official for alcatel. just lucky to have this kitkat version for alcatel

about rooting i just flashed the twrp recovery via sp flash tool and after that flash supersu via recovery works fine now
