it seems that problem is with recovery. :/ with this rusian rom came CWM 5.5, probably Lewa V5 require CWM 6 or newer. will try tonight to see is that the case.

nope, it's not that. installed 6.0.4.4 still getting same error. I gues I will have to wait for developer to fix it. :/

Hello guys.
I have a problem with my Alcatel Idol X.
Yesterday I restored the phone with the ROM 0 through MtkDroidTools and SpFlashTools, but now I have a problem with the slot 1 of the Sim that is locked.

Is there a solution?

just to mention, if anyone elese have same problem.

I have figured it. apparently you have to use CWM 6.0.3.3 to install latest Lewa 13.12.20, any other recovery gives a build.prop error.


one more question, just for knowledge. how to revert to stock Idol X 6040X, if needed for RMA?

I have this ROM now. But this ROM have root and CWM installed. And I looking for stock ROM without any tunned stuff.

i had the same problem with you, i followed this guide and for me it worked, the problem is that if i try to install for example LEWA rom now or any other rom (except tcl stock rom or alcatel rom) i get the same lock problem, i use the Alcatel 6040D rom now, its kinda slower than the LEWA but i can use the phone at least

this guy who made this guide had sim lock problem and he used not his own but someone alses backup to flash it with flashtool. He did it to the TCL would it work on alcatel? i dont know im not an engineer but i just think it would be the same wouldnt it? Check at page 86 of the link i gave you, they are talking about it

Hello guys,

I have recently received the TCL Idol X and I have several questions, I hope you can help me:

1. The model I received is a S950T, I don't know if it changes anything ?
2. I have no SD card slot (dual SIM version), so, if I'm right, I'm not able to use CWM ? I tried but it says "Couldn't mount /sdcard", which sounds logic since I don't have one. Does it mean I am not able to use CWM to install recoveries, at all ?
3.a. I have flashed my phone using SP Flash Tool (russian Alcatel ROM), it went well but now I'm stuck with invalid IMEI (they're lost actually), so I have no network. I tried to change it via the Enginer Mode but when sending the AT command, it says that it failed to send the command.
3.b. Now I have the russian Alcatel ROM, I can't find any way to root my phone (VROOT, and other soft doesn't work). Is there a way ?

What would you advice me to do now ? I'm a bit stuck, and don't want to rush and get a bricked phone :crying:

Download SP flash tool V3 ... (By tapping goole, very easy to find)

Then just flash with flash tool sp v3

following this procedure:

1. Install the driver as here: https://mega.co.nz/ # fm/eZ51iYJL
2. Start SP Flash, click Scatter-loading and specify the path to the file in the firmware folder MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt;
3. Uncheck preloader and recovery
4. Custpack and clicker box above to add it manually
5. Press the download button and log off the computer smartphone
6. Wait a few minutes for the window with a green circle appears, disconnect your smartphone, turn on and enjoy.
