THIS IS A PORTED ROM MEANT FOR ANOTHER DEVICE THIS IS NOT A MODIFIED VERSION OF SOMEBODY ELSE'S ROM THAT IS JUST THEMED OR TWEAKED
attachment.php

This is a port from superAOSPnexus from the nexus phone SuperAosp

Again much credit to J and Z without there base files my ports wouldn't happen.

this software is my own purposes and development as I am not responsible if you decide to use this software on your device.
If any of this software is illegal or copyright pm me and I will remove
I am not responsible for any damage that you do to your phone.

Look at the rom download to see wich baseband it uses

install at your own risk... I take no blame for what you do to your phone.

1.You must have xrecovery or freexperia recovery installed to use this zip

2. You must be on baseband 52 to use this file. I always use newest flashtool and flash .435 firmware then flash the bb52 file.

3. then download the rom you wish to install

4. Now go into recovery menu and wipe data twice

5 Now wipe cache twice

6. Now wipe dalvik in advanced tools menu of recovery

7. Now flash the rom you want on your phone and wait for it to reboot by itself once

8. Use and enjoy

working on stable 2.3.3 gingerbread

have you tired extract to - /data/local/tmp

You could make an update.zip as this thread by DooMLoRD goes a good way to explaining (managed to muck up myself..)

Or you could do this in your script - /system;

Code:
$systemMount = mount | busybox grep /system | busybox awk '{print $1}'

mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2, ' + systemMount + ' /system

Just a small tweak for /data or other partition, following the same logic :)

i get what you are saying and you can do that on files in the phone but this is for rom installation so I can't do that in the update script that installs rom... our recovery doesn't allow that... are you saying to put it in the chargemon?

used notepad ++ to edit

when I say it doesn't copy anything... the ui words appear but the whole rom flash takes about 10 seconds without copying over system. data. boot..... absolutely no errors appear during install and it goes through complete script showing my ui text

First, way wrong section.

Second, since you're doing this at installtime, I'm assuming that you can put the script in the root of the update.zip, like update.zip/thumbnails.sh. Then just stick this in your update-script:

run_program PACKAGE:thumbnails.sh
If for some reason you have to use the local tmp dir, it's DATA:local/tmp.

Also, you can use:
format SYSTEM:
format DATA:
format CACHE:
instead of
format("yaffs2", "MTD", "system");
, you shouldn't have to mount / remount anything, and I'm pretty sure that "write_raw_image("/tmp/boot.img", "boot")" is useless on the X10. Hope that helps.

anyone know anything about update scripts I need to extract packages from the bin to the tmp folder but get syntax errors or can't mount errors below is the parts can't seem to get right.

package_extract_file SYSTEM:bin/thumbnails.sh TMP:thumbnails.sh
set_perm 0 0 0777 TMP:thumbnails.sh
run_program PACKAGE:tmp/thumbnails.sh
package_extract_file SYSTEM:bin/verify_cache_partition_size.sh TMP:verify_cache_partition_size.sh
set_perm 0 0 0777 TMP:verify_cache_partition_size.sh
run_program PACKAGE:tmp/verify_cache_partition_size.sh
show_progress 0.200000 10
show_progress 0.300000 0
copy_dir PACKAGE:boot TMP:boot
set_perm 00 0777 TMP:boot/borrarmedia.sh
run_program PACKAGE:tmp/boot/borrarmedia.sh

hi rdannar... seem u trying to to make a ROM installation update.zip

from my experience:
Edify scripts (updater-script) support copying to /tmp but Amend scripts (update-script) doesnt allow such a location... it only allows for SYSTEM, DATA, CACHE
the Edify scripts (updater-script) doesnt always work properly on our current recovery... better stick to Amend scripts (update-script)...
any programs (.sh) that u want to run (which doesnt require additional files) place it at the root of ur packege
any programs (.sh) that u want to run (which require additional files) place it at the /data/local/tmp folder of ur packege

Additional: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5776278&postcount=3

formats:
Code:
format SYSTEM:
format DATA:
format CACHE:

copy package:
Code:
copy_dir PACKAGE:system SYSTEM:

set permissions:
Code:
set_perm_recursive 0 0 0755 0644 SYSTEM:
set_perm_recursive 0 2000 0755 0755 SYSTEM:bin
set_perm 0 0 04755 SYSTEM:bin/su
set_perm 0 0 0755 SYSTEM:etc/dhcpcd/dhcpcd-run-hooks
...
.
.
..

busybox installation:
Code:
run_program PACKAGE:installbusybox

installbusybox:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
cd /system/bin
/system/bin/chmod 755 busybox
./busybox --install -s /system/bin
OR
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
cd /system/bin
/system/bin/chmod 755 busybox
./busybox --install -s /system/xbin

running any other program:
Code:
run_program PACKAGE:verify_cache_partition_size.sh
OR
Code:
copy_dir PACKAGE:data DATA:
set_perm 0 0 777 DATA:local/tmp/verify_cache_partition_size.sh
run_program DATA:local/tmp/verify_cache_partition_size.sh
OR
-[ i have not tested the following but might work ]-
Code:
copy_dir PACKAGE:tmp TMP:
set_perm 0 0 777 TMP:verify_cache_partition_size.sh
run_program TMP:verify_cache_partition_size.sh

verify_cache_partition_size.sh:
Code:
#!/sbin/sh
<commands u want to execute>

i think this should work... in case it doesnt send me a p.m. we will try to work this out...

thanks doomlord I will give your file placements a try

I understand the script writing.. have done tons of scripts. Just wanted to stay true to the rom I am porting and have files go to tmp.

I have tried a million ways with amend to mount tmp but is not possible and tons of ways to get edify working but it isn't read correctly... so I will give the placement of the files a try and see if the rom will still work...

this rom is a test rom to hopefully work up to porting a sense rom wich has to have files all over the place... baby steps :p

hey rdannar for testing stick to Amend scripts (update-script) and use /data partition to run the scripts!
Edify scripts are very weird... they only work sometimes... not sure if its related to xRecovery or FreeXperia recovery...

"porting a sense rom"
nice... looking forward to it...

I know... I am going to turn this thread into a rom thread after that is why i double posted in the beginning.. thanks for the conversation from you and doom it was enough to get me through the update script but still have some issues have to sort through with rom to fully function... wish I could do updater script as it would make my future plans so much easier.

it is suppose to have a different setup menu but haven't gotten that part working yet.. it is in the nexus development section so figured I would try it out and see if I can get it working.
