Im having the same problem. Jasmine is the only rom I can get to work. I have it in the stock slot atm and it works fine but I want to try hd and alliance as well but I just get a black screen.
Do you get Black screen right after its says "recovery" or "continue" option with safestrap on boot up?
Yes it went black right after that on all the roms I tried but jasmine
You need to flash the NC2 kernel in Odin to run Alliance or Hyperdrive.

when I flash the NC2 with odin it will go in the AP slot correct?
Yes, flash in AP slot. I don't think you check the repartition box. I took the leak and didn't need to do the kernel. Make sure you have USB debugging on and put your phone in download mode. I searched some with my phone and looks like you leave repartition unchecked.
So I should follow the instructions after it says "coming from stock NC4 ota"? And do I flash the v4 AND V2 in ap slot?
Hey maybe you can help me with this and I am not sure whats going on at all. Yesterday I used odin and returned to stock but before I did I checked off re partition, and nand erase. I confirmed that it was ok after reading multiple post. When I odin it didnt do the normal menu like it does on the left side when it was flashing. It got all the way to system, and after 8 minutes it was finished. I am on stock right now, and tried going to alliance build 1. I downloaded alliance, put phone into download mode, and flashed nc2 in ap slot. when the phone reboot I went to safestrap and flashed the rom in stock slot, and when it was done flashing i do a reboot, and get to safestrap slapscreen, and click continue it goes to black screen. To fix I have to pull battery go back into download mode and reflash. Not sure whats going on. I confirmed everything I am doing is correct because I have done it many times. I re partitioned twice via odin because thinking i did something in there to do this. Its like it doesnt reconize nc2 anymore.
I'm not 100% sure but try flashing Alliance first and then after flashing don't reboot to rom, in safestrap hit reboot to download mode. Then flash the NC2 kernel and see if that solves the problem.
I am gunna try doing a complete factory restore on my computer and do a fresh odin and everything, and se if that fixes it.
Okay, just make sure you follow the correct steps if you're doing NC4 or MJE. I actually took the NC2 leak so I never had to flash the NC2 kernel but I'm trying to help out from what I've read.
I have done this like many times I cant understand whats going on. My phone came with nc4. so in order for it to work is i need to do nc2 in ap slot.

I found the issue and it's user error. What I did was flash the rom and then manually boot to download and that what worked. So just posting don't flash kernel then rom. Would crash for me.
