Is there anything that can be said about the stability of 4.1.2 versus 4.2?

Not everybody wants the latest features, and even an older version can be acceptable if the stability is good enough.

I really love the Slim Bean ROM release, but I'd prefer running a version that is more stable. Version 3.1.0 is a bit too unstable for my taste... it has rebooted thrice in two days. :s (I have disabled today CPU-tuner as some replies in this thread hint to that being a problem. I didn't touch any voltage settings).

Also, if you do make builds for 4.2 JB, which versions would be used for the three ROMs from this thread (I am particularly interested in Slim Bean, of course)?

I think he wasn't interested in none of the above.
I think he once said that was interested in RootBox for JB 4.2
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Kinda of.... SlimBean is coming along for the ride dont worry ;) RootBox was meant to replace Codename as support stopped with 4.1.2 but atm am having problems fully compiling it :( so I might put it on hold for some time and give you guys the closest thing to AOSP which is what you will find on nexus devices which supernexus...... I will start the ports with AOKP, SB, and PAC using the 2.6.32 kernel has it's stable enough for my daily use atm..... I go back to looking at 4.1.2 kernel/wifi updates once I get everything set up again....

Is seems more similar RootBox to PAC than Codename isn't?
So we can expect the latest version of PAC (22.0)? Since now we have a working build of JB 4.2 with the 2.6.32 kernel?

RootBox I will say is more similar to AOKP as Bajee is one of the device maintainer's at AOKP and RootBox's base is mostly based on it....

And yes to the second question ^_^ I will start working on it later today as I have some spare time....

Let's Go ^_^

PAC has been compiled :)

PAC is almost ready :) I need to see why I have no data atm and wifi however wifi I think I found the fix I need.....
Am also getting random reboots so I need to see if am missing some stuff as Quarx hasn't updated his config for 4.2 with the 2.6.32 kernel yet.... So am kinda of working blind :p

Pie is pretty awesome and working 100% better than in CM10.1 if you have tried it yet....

Roms are not going to be updated oftenly like with 4.1.2 as 4.2.2 takes years on my system to build :(..... I need to win a competition or the lottery so I can get a new one :)

Good and Bad news

Well good news is that I finally fixed the bug with RootBox failing to compile ^_^ but bad news is that like PAC it also has the no data bug which confuses me has Quarx recently updated his manifest and my current manifest is pretty much the same :) which means I guessed right but that should mean data should work however it's not :(

I will try some other things and see if I can get it to work because currently they are both faster than CM10.1 and have the tweaks am missing like center clock and Pie :)

Well for now its not coming because am having issues with data working and stability with 4.2 roms in general random reboots.... I don't know why but any 4.2 rom I have tried to build on my local system has ended up like that :( I will again so time soon by building CM10.1 and see if the problem is present there aswell there I will know its a problem with my build setup and not the configuration for 4.2 AOSP roms.

Let's Go ^_^

Good news ^_^

Due to Quarx's recent move to TWRP I finally was able to build cm10.1 with data working and wifi after some fixes he made...... Also FM is back again for those that use it..... Expect AOSP builds in the coming weeks AOKP,SB,PAC,RootBox.

Just need to confirm it by compiling RootBox again with the new changes but am confident it should work.
