Camera is similar to the Oreo roms: it fc's when you change modes, but quality is very good. Battery seems better.

I've installed openkirin/lineageos rom. Everything works good except smart cover.
Is there any rom (omnirom, resurrection, other?) where smart cover locks and unlocks phone?
Or maybe I need to enable/install something?

you use a normal Huawei EMUI system, there is a special treatment which use a special SuperSu zip file.
Also, you can use a Magisk version, always optimized for Huawei. I found the zip variant in a thread in the P10+ section.

If you have the Treble ROM, which is the main topic of the thread, I did this:
Ensured that there were no setups to do;
Re-flashed TWRP;
Installed the normal Magisk zip from TWRP.

Because is not a EMUI system anymore, you can easily install every mod or patch you wish.

Personal note: I tried install SuperSu with the zip, but the app said "binary occupied". Since it did like that before, with the EMUI system, I gave up and I installed Magisk.
Now it works like a charm.

It seems when I install twrp (3.2.1-0) onto my phone, it flashes fine but I can't get past its splash screen, so I can't go in to install any root system. Any ideas?

Install the Magisk manager apk, extract the ramdisk.img from your stock rom (make sure you use the correct version) and patch it with the Magisk manager. Flash the patched image "fastboot flash ramdisk patched_boot.img" and root is there for you. The instructions are all on openkirin.net.

Cool, I've extracted the ramdisk.img from the rom, but when I press install in the Magisk Manager is just gives me the option to install Magisk v17.1.zip or whatever, I don't have the option to patch a boot image.

Running the Lineage Beta 5 rom with gamma kernel. Any body try any casting? Seems to run pretty hot, GSAM is giving me 43 celsius during, battery gets killed during as well.

I had RR on my P10 before but had some small issues and went back to stock because of the fact you lose the cameras abilities. But now i really have a hard time staying on stock rom so I want to know : Is the camera app still not working ? What is actually working on it ? Good for daily driver ?

I think very few (the one I know of is storing selfies with a beauty level >0), but the camera app restarts if you switch modes (e.g. from cam to video or from front to back).
