como volver a stock después de instalar openkirin

Thanks for this! I am running the CarbonROM Beta 2 from the partner builds (released July 17). I notice that there is now an official version that is also labeled as Beta 2, but was released five days later (July 22). Can I flash the official build without going back to full stock first? Also, the newer build is significantly smaller: 599MB versus 1.6 GB. Is that because the newer build doesn't include GAPPS?

Thanks again and sorry if I missed the answers to these questions.

As an aside, I'm really liking CarbonROM. Great battery life and very smooth.
Alguno sabe como regresar de openkirin a stock e mate 9

Where is the option to disable the navbar to enable navigation gestures? Couldn't find it in the settings.
The navigation gestures here are fingerprint sensor gestures, not the on-screen gestures like in Pie or EMUI.
They can be enabled by disabling the nav bar and customised in settings System --> OpenKirin.

It doesn't look like anyone has posted about this, but the blur feature on my Mate 9 running RROS Beta 2 has a quirk that I just noticed. I tried playing with the blur feature, and both "expanded status bar" and "recent apps" don't change no matter what I set their scales and radii to. Status bar option stays perfectly crisp, and recents goes totes blurry. It's not a huge deal to me cuz I prefer the crispness, but I thought I'd mention it in case it hasn't come up elsewhere.

You folks have made a fantastic ROM that is working phenomenally on my Mate 9. THANK YOU!

Is the Carbon Rom for the Mate 9 (project treble) dead? It is no longer on the openkirin website and the openkirin support group forbids discussing it. I'm still running Carbon beta 4 and I would stick with it, because there are few glitches (which may be a result of apps, not OS) and pretty much no bugs, but if it will never get an update, I might try RR.

last I heard, they were hopeful to find a new maintainer for CarbonROM as the last one left the group. I switched to LOS from Openkirin and I have been very happy with it. I hope that Carbon returns as I really enjoyed it

Hello,
maybe slightly off-topic, but I don't even how to Google this, or were else to ask
From the little I know about the treble project, the system occupies only a particular partition(s), while the partitions responsible for communication between the HW and SW/system are separate - hope this is reasonably correct.
I'd say that these "communication" partition(s) are not being automatically updated, e.g. when Huawei updates them in their EMUI updates, as they are presumably not part of the custom ROM updates. Is that so?
And if yes, how should I update this partitions? Or should I worry about it at all?

you can update to a newer vendor base ofc, simply install a emui upgrade through HuRupdater and reflash the treble rom - this needs time/patience/factory resets ofc, keep that in mind.

Just want to give a huge thanks to you guys working on OpenKirin ROMs. Tried installing LineageOS 16 yesterday over and over with no luck, just bootloops (I'm thinking it's because I was on the unreleased MHA-L29C636B377 firmware).

Anyway, I gave up and thought I'd give OmniROM 3.1 a go, and I'm really impressed. It's super smooth, everything works and battery life is fantastic. Couldn't be happier with it, you guys have done a seriously brilliant job.

I did have LOS 15.1 installed a while ago but the lack of NFC forced me to go back to stock. But with OmniROM you really hit the nail on the head. Everything works beautifully and far smoother than EMUI. Thank you ?

Upgrade from OmniROM based on 8.1 or new install?
@OldDroid This can be upgraded from OmniROM Beta 3.1 or needs a new/clean install?
