Has anyone tried installing chinese Oreo on C432 just for base (if I remember right, the C432 files were included in chinese oreo) and then install OpenKirin Rom? Will it brick the device?

Yes, this would brick your device. (=OEM Unlock disabled and grayed out and no possibility to downgrade or flash anything!)

On which system are you right now?
I try to understand the new question related to your previous one. (?)

eRecovery is only working on rebranded Phone (to AL10)
eRecovery doesn't close the Bootloader, but it will do a User-Reset and additional a usual manual Factoryreset is required.

If you are on Nougat Kirin Rom you must go back to Stock Firmware, then update the Firmware to the latest approved version.
After the Rebranding steps are required for rebranding to AL10 and finally update to official Oreo Firmware.
Then Network Patches and some other things must be configured - then you can flash Open Kirin Treble Rom.

Did you rebrand your phone to AL10 before updating to EMUI 8?

Or did you flash EMUI 8 over c432 with HuRUpdater?

If you didn't rebrand you will have several problems in the future. (eRecovery will not work, OK Roms will not work correctly etc)

Tested on EVA-AL10. Same issue with SIM cards. The SIM only position is not recognized, and if I put the SIM to SDCard slot, only Edge signal is available.
I am also seeing camera not working after restart.

I can help debug btw. I have an EVA-AL10. I used to be an Android dev until early 2018. My previous job at Qualcomm includes migrating an unpublished biometrics feature from Nougat to Oreo (working with daemon, TZ, and SELinux including treble change). Later I was working on some easy tasks for NPU driver of SDM855 (or 8150). But I doubt how much time I can allocate to this...

Yes, I rebranded. But it's not important, I'm going to stay with EMUI and wait until there is stable release OpenKirin Rom or new beta.

You must follow instructions as on the Open Kirin site

Wipe Data and Factory reset (step 15) are important.
If you did the rest and cannot boot to System, boot to Recovery and do the step 15.
Otherwise boot to Fastboot and start from step 8

Flashing a stock recovery and trying to reset it turns it on! Thank you very much!!

And the translation seems to be wrong TWRP tried to reset once.

No it won't work. If you want to back up and restore, you have to use TITANIUM BACKUP.

Did it work when you were on AL10c00 b528/b535?

If you were rebrending fron L19/L29 Nougat, you had to apply Dual-SIM Network patch as in HWOTA7 OP posts even if you did not want to stay on EMUI Oreo but aiming to go to Open Kirin
That would at least help for dual SIM, but don't know about TD LTE

How to fix overheating problem on OK roms while I'm playing games like rules of survival? I got 66°C on cpu and 55°C on may battery. btw I have no overheating issue on stock EMUI.

hey guys i have p9 dual sim variant first sim always stuck in LTE mode and the second sim always in EDGE mode and cannot be changed
other problem i have is the mobile network standby drain
anybody else also having these problems ?
(i may add that i tested all of OPENKIRINS roms for the network switch same result)
Any solutions?

I have the same problem with Omni ROM beta3.1 on P9+ VIE-L29

Can't switch the LTE between sim1 & sim2 , it's stuck only in sim1 and keep sim2 EDGE

Also can't switch off or disable any sim of them and keep only one active

Any solution for this problems please??
