I have the same problem with Omni ROM beta3.1 on P9+ VIE-L29

Can't switch the LTE between sim1 & sim2 , it's stuck only in sim1 and keep sim2 EDGE

Also can't switch off or disable any sim of them and keep only one active

Any solution for this problems please??
Are you sure you used the correct network patch from HWOTA7? Does this functionality work in stock emui Oreo?

Gallery

Hi everyone.
I am using the most recent Omni rom with OS 8.1 installed on Huawei P9 (EVA-L19 rebranded as DL-00).
Stock Gallery app seems to be pretty slow (especially the process of preview images being continuously loaded) and it's annoying. Does anyone have the same issue? There was no such problem with stock Huawei gallery app on EMUI 8.0.

I followed all the steps and flashed the ROM on P9.
When I tried to perform Factory Reset, the recovery tried to erase data and after 0% it showed an orange "!" sign and could not boot to system.

What is special about RR 7? The ones on openkirin.net is already very good
Openkirin RR and omnirom has some bugs on my kirin659 p smart . Like the stock camera fc , the dialer disappears when making an outgoing call so I can't hang up . My banking app can't use ANY camera to scan bar codes to make payments . The volume is very low in headphones ( lower than stock ) . Occasionally the headphone bug appears randomly where you have to reboot to get sound working again. The hotspot doesn't work well . etc etc ...I'm not complaining , just explaining ...team Openkirin hasn't released any new releases recently and therefore still certain bugs ..the poster is hoping that since RR team officially released that that means they fixed various bugs * hopefully for his huawei device too. Unfortunately huawei is moving further and further from devs minds due to their new very authoritarian attitude like locked bootloaders and no 3rd party launchers ...and since its a different chip ( kirin) ...things don't look good ..treble has certainly opened the doors to custom ROMs on loads of devices but then in the end every GSI has destinct bugs on distinct devices related to device specific features which ultimately requires a dedicated dev who is talented to fix them all ......I wish phhussan was using a p smart as his personal daily driver then I would've had zero bugs on my p smart ..I'm using openkirin los15 which seems to give me less probs than omni and RR ..having said that ..stock is better ..but I am using custom because huawei stock has loads of bloat and background stuff running and turns settings on or off at will on reboot ....but so this guy just wants what I want ...a rom with no bugs and dedicated dev on security patches and such ( 1dev who is experienced and who owns the phone in question ..hopefully even using it daily )...including FULLY FEATURED ..FULLY FUNCTIONAL stock camera ...not a more or less or use footej job ...he obviously feels that the official RR team is more likely to fix all bugs for some devices ..which means team kirin might even be able to improve their unofficial version. I am more sceptical and think huawei devices won't benefit too much from this official release by a great team ...the people who will benefit big are people with Qualcomm chips ..stupid kirin :crying:...biggest mistake I ever made .

stock is better ..but I am using custom because huawei stock has loads of bloat and background stuff running and turns settings on or off at will on reboot ......

*as quoted from my original post ;)

thb I can't wait until I offload this phone on some unsuspecting never owned a huawei owner ...to get back to Qualcomm asap ..

Got burnt on mtk but then again SPflashtool was a pleasure to use ..

Kirin & huawei ....the pits ....

My favourite phones were iphone 3G .. nexus 5 and LG G3 back in the day ... Motorola isn't bad ...Samsung ( overpriced ) ....iPhone ( way too locked down and overpriced ) ... anyway my next phone will be back to a Snapdragon....might go back to Xiaomi ...have good memories ...prefer it over huawei for sure ....if I get decent money together I'll see if I can get my hands on something from 1+ but also pricey ..anyway OT

If you search in HWOTA7 thread for keywords
bloatware
notifications
google
hivoice
pinyin

you will find all you need to get rid of all bloatware and Chinese things, how to make notifications fully working, how to configure Google Assistant (if you wish)

And there is a setting to disable periodic/automatic download reconfiguration of certain settings that Hiawei recently introduced

Thanks. I have deleted loads of stuff from system using twrp and firewalls to stop background connections but then at some point I always end up breaking something else in the background ....

I remember you from the Ulefone threads and discussions we had there about deleting spyware and other bloat ...

I'll take a look when I'm looking for an excuse to mess with my phone a little :good:

I remember Ulefone Metal, despite being a cheap phone with anti-support, it was pretty good (Chinese bloated) AOSP MM (?), where TWRP, SuperSU, Xposed, Viper4Android went easy.
There was even CM port development going for some time

Eventually they closed even that user forum and somebody, I gave him the phone, broke it physically beyond repair

Sorry guys for our off-topic historical evocations :)

OMNIROM

This is my experience: :fingers-crossed:
I forgot to delete TWRP :crying: and it was very difficult to install eRecovery, I had an error when trying flash and openkirin don't start. I think, my phone is brick!!! but I fix them.
I used Omnirom, it's very nice and fast :cyclops: , but my battery does not charge (I think my battery is old) The battery percentage indicates 9% or 1% OR 0% for a long time and my cell phone discharge very fast. This was not a problem for me, but .....
Every time I turn this on, my screen says: "Decryption error" or says: "Starting Android" an reboot, I can't access the system.

I can do factory reset all time, but I won't always do this, I have data that I lose in this action. :highfive: :(
