Hello Guys,

I have a question, now I am using OmniRom 3.1 but I want to install Resurrection Remix OS Beta 3. Should I return on stock emui 8 or I could flash Resurrection Remix OS Beta 3 directly from fastboot and wipe data and cache?

hello guys, because I got tired of being still at Android 7.0, I decided to install a custom rom. Which of these based on android AOSP do you recommend for daily use? which one has the best battery life? (considering that I am at least 8-9 hours away from home for university). Thank you very much, if you have any other suggestions you can tell them. thank you very much again

Be aware that you must first rebrand and upgrade to Chinese Oreo

Don't worry about the factory reset bug. You can try to perform it multiple times - it works despite throwing an error.

I am doing it, but I am facing awful battery draining, 50% go down during the night when I am sleeping. Phone heating and I think this came from the factory reset.

I have tested all ROMs from OP and the results are the same.

Also I have try to ask OP in telegram group but I was really angry and they banned me.

Did you face these issues @Rampire ?

Yes. I don't suppose battery drain results from the unsuccessful wipe, it's a problem with Huawei stock kernel which makes it impossible for the device to go into deep sleep. Try ECO Kernel, it is available in this section. I still have to check the exact benchmarks but so far my device has been going into deep sleep no problem, so I guess battery stats will also be much better.

Does that mean that you have rooted your device?

Yes but I guess you'll be able to flash a custom kernel without a root, you won't be able to control it by any means though. I recommend you to root your device.
I am big fan of the rooting, but I have few apps that I won't be able to use, I will think about it. Thanks for your advice mate.

Has anyone tried installing chinese Oreo on C432 just for base (if I remember right, the C432 files were included in chinese oreo) and then install OpenKirin Rom? Will it brick the device?
