I dirty flashed beta 9.1 ROM, then went straight to bootloader and flashed RR again. Restarted and everything works like a charm. To get root again, I followed the open Kirin instructions, but forgot I was on beta magisk (version 19), so was using the wrong patch in magisk in the instructions. Only took me 2 or 3 hours to figure out what I was doing wrong ?

Everything working now!

Any noticeable improvements with 9.1?

I don't see the LOS mentioned in the OP, on the OpenKirin website. At least, not a 9-based flavour, just an old deprecated 8-based version.

Is the OP inaccurate, or does a 20 X compatible LOS version exist and it's just not public yet?

Also, any chance of versions without GApps by default, so we can either choose our own package, or choose not to use them at all?

For those who use any OpenKirin Roms, can you overclock Kirin 980 using third party apps such as kernel aduitor or exkm? If yes how high can you set the maximum clock for each cores group?

I assume since Kirin 980 uses 4 A76 class for medium and prime cores, it can at least match if not better the raw performance of those exynos 9820 and snap 855 at the same core clockspeed.

I absolutely love this rom ever since I installed it.
The only thing I would like to improve is the speaker audio quality which seems to have decreased with RR. The AudioFX app doesn't included speaker settings.
The telegram group does not support audio mods but I'd like to know if anyone has an audio mod that works with RR to fully enjoy the dual speaker setup.

If you go to the flashing instructions in Open Kiron page, it says there that you need to have Unlocked Bootloader.

Im not rooted and didn't unlock bootloader but Im on emui 9. Can I directly flash from stock recovery after taking backup? As in OP says flash by stock recovery
