Is AOSP 10 Preview 2, Android 10?
Anyone? I know this is pretty much dead, but I still want to try a custom rom on my bootloader unlocked Mate 20X. I need Android 10 so that I can use the DarQ app (per-app dark mode). my questions are:

-Is AOSP 10 Preview 2 actually Android 10?
-Is any of the other OpenKirin roms Android 10?
-Can I flash any of those EMUI 9 based roms, being on EMUI 9.1?

Many thanks.

AOSP and Android are not the same thing, but AOSP 10 is the version of AOSP that Android 10 is based on.

The AEX Beta 1 ROMS are also AOSP 10.

You MUST flash over EMUI 9 or 9.1. EMUI 10 or 11 will not work due to filesystem changes.

Hello, guys!
I was reading the thread, and saw that a few people were able to root the Mate 20 X, while using an OpenKirin ROM.
What's the proper procedure for that?

Thanks for the clarification. AEX works wonderful, my only issue with it is Netflix (Error 5.8). Googled it and it's related to an animated wallpaper, which I don't have. Does anybody knows how to fix it?

OmniROM Beta 3 is out and sound issue is suppose to be fixed now...

The Camera has a focusing issue and changing the DPI makes the UI a little wonky. Wait until these are fixed before flashing. RR is still running smoothly. It would be awesome if Havoc could be built for the 20 X.

I have one question to you, since you are testing the RR and the omnirom, wich one are stable right now?
    Rr, omni or both?

    On the 20 X, Resurrection.

Calls working great for me. Make sure when you reinstall you do the recovery partition correctly or you will have errors

I got it working after flashing a more recent recovery_ramdisk and a factory reset.

In fact the compatibility has already been tested by @freeza , rr will also work with EMUI9.1.

    regards
Yes, confirmed to work great with 9.1.0.115 firmware
