@chauhanjayc: you should mention that this works only with unlocked bootloader. This could spare some time. Tried with locked bootloader and doesn' work.

and this method has done correct for me
so its for both locked and unlocked
you dont need unlocked bootloader to flash stock kernel
here we are working with kernel change only
Well, this "working kernel" is not working for D5303. The root procedure doesn't work, it does not recognise the phone even if I checked USB for developement.
I was interested to backup TA from 4.4.3. I already made a backup from 4.3.
ok first you get on latest firmware i mean flash 4.4.3
then connect your phone to pc with usb mode enabled
now open flash tool there would b a prompt for USB debugging authentication check always trust and hit ok
now flash 4.4.2 kernel and follow steps given in first post
hope to see your phone rooted
So you suggest to flash the kernel with Flashtool while the phone is still on (not closed). Does this works?
In this way you think that easyroot will see the phone. I say that because my previous try was with me connecting the phone after Flashtool flashed the kernel with the classic procedure: close the phone and connect it to Flashtool pressing volume up.
L.E. doesn't works. I'll try to flash a 4.4.2 kernel from a D5303 ftf. I'll be back with results.
L.E. 2: No, it doesn't works with 4.4.2 kernel form a D5303. stock ROM. And it doesn't works in this case with any solution: vroot, root king, rootkit xiperia and so on.
So this is a method available only for non single-SIM non-LTE T2 Ultra devices.

i think now is not right time to root as t2 has got 5.0.2 and t2 dual will soon get it
so new root method will be released after 5.0.2 update
however if you dont wona update 5.0.2 then ask me what is the real challenge you are facing while attempting

8. now open easy root tool kit,and hit install.bat root your phone if stuck at any place close window again hit install.bat, disconnect phone when you see phone is rooted
this is my last step. i cant install the install.bat. it says my phone is not rooted. how can i fix this? im using sony t2 ultra. and my phone is not coming anyting as what you said in your thread, what only functioning is just the virbation. how can i fix this? please help me. thanks.

you haven't authorized adb access
go back to 4.4 latest enable usb debugging and then connect phone open flash tool and wait for adb authentication check always and hit ok now follow the steps
download boot.img fastboot via either flash tool or adb go to recovery and flash root zip
turn off the phone and reflash stock recovery all done
