This is a system.img, not a firmware ftf package, therefore you can't see it in flashtool
I'm talking about the .ftf file. :)

I have a few there, even the older Arc ones, etc. Nothing is showing up.

For the newest file, I know what's wrong - the xdafileserver keeps dropping the download, I can't get the full 498MB file.

perhaps you can re-download flashtool. make sure you place the ftf under firmware (I'm sure you know but just to make sure)

Yup, already did - nada. Maybe it screws up because the downloaded ftf is not complete. I'm hoping and praying this download attempt works (8th attempt so far, and 8 is lucky, so...)

Coming from rooted .67, I flashed the full ftf (keeping user data), then this rooted image.

So far, so good, the battery use is definitely lower than .67

I still have a 700MB-something /system though, even after private data reset. Also I miss the national roaming option that was in the .67 UK rom. No big deals though, the rest works fine :)

It's a bug I introduced. I have yet to make it 1GB - previous method didn't work anymore :p

Nice, as long as it is not my phone playing dirty tricks on me, it's not a problem :) There is more than enough room left for some time (especially after cleaning some bloatware)

You did flash the ftf before and after the img via fastboot.
And for info it's not a rom it's just firmware for the moment we don't have this chance with lt26.But dev's make the better.

Sorry for my ignorance, I am new to the Sony methods having been a Nexus One and Nexus S user before.

I am on the 67 prerooted firmware at the moment. To get to 73 with root do I need to flash the ftf 73 then the preroot or can I just do one or the other?

Thanks

After flashing to .73, I cannot install "Blood and Glory (NR)" I can only install the normal one. NR says it is not compatible with my device (worked fine under .67)

In my build.prop I noticed the line "ro.sf.lcd_density=320" shows up 3 times

And I have 2 "dalvik.vm.heapsize" values, one is 32m, one is 48m

Can these cause issues?

The prerooted did the correct firmware if you put a .63 prerooted you did to have a .63 firmware and the same with .73 or .67.and for the uk and singapore etc it's the same firmware and the correct prerooted
