I downloaded lineageos for installing custom rom in my Asus Zenfone 2 laser but i checked MD5 checksum and its different of the downloaded zip file from the given MD5 on the website. Should i install it? What should i do?

I've already seen a question or two about this...

As a quick FYI for those who may be in search of the "addonsu-15.1-x86"...

I'm just assuming that this will be delayed up to month or two but, I'm just going by the appropriate time period/gap between the initial 14.1 ARM & ARM64 release and then the later x86 release.

Just be patient... I doubt that they had forgotten about the AddonSU 15.1 for the x86 devices.

Enjoy!

Quick question. I'm currently syncing LineageOS but i had to force sync due to errors and i see that it cant find a reposotiry or two. Does this affect anything in the source code or am i good to go? I just seem to see that all the time

I do understand your question but, I'm a bit confused regarding the context in which the question is regarding/referring to.

Can you please clarify as to what exactly it is your "syncing" and where to/from?

Thank you for your understanding! :)

You're most welcome :) I'm syncing from androidarmv6 Cyanogenmod source and it seems to be a repo that is missing that it fails to fetch. I've gotten this error with LineageOS and other repos regardless of what i do. It seems the github repository(s) it's trying to sync from dont exist so I'm not sure if it's gonna effect the build or if it may not be needed

Regarding anything CyanogenMod... The Official servers have been taken offline and I don't believe that it had pointed to Github because they had private server's at the time.

Regarding LineageOS servers... The updates from the Official servers don't point to Github. It's there own private ones they use.

The only side note regarding the above information would be Unofficial ones for CyanogenMod and LineageOS.

I do believe (i may be wrong in part) that some of the Unofficial LineageOS & CyanogenMod developers had modified the update servers within the Firmware to whichever they had specified and Github can potentially be one of them.

I hope that I had explained this to you okay via text... :)

Your very welcome! :D

When it comes to using developments located within a thread, keep in mind that those threads are there for developer/member support and guidance. Sometimes there's a separate "Q&A" thread for a specific development but, you should be able to see a link to those provided by the developer within the first few posts on the development thread.

I do wish you the best of luck!

Hi guys. I clean flashed LOS 15.1 with latest gapps and Magisk 16.1 on my OnePlus 3T phone, unfortunately, although I see SafetyNet pass status but on the banking APP it detects root and won't load. I used Hide Magisk but still not working. Any suggestions?

On my One PlusOne it is working fine. banking APP didn't detect root.

I don't have this device nor use Magisk but, I believe that the following thread may be helpful for what you are looking to do and don't be afraid to ask for some member guidance within it too.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3765199

If all else fails, and you don't receive any responses from the above thread, you can always try to obtain some member guidance within the following General Q&A Magisk thread.

Good Luck!

Tried the PROPS, ROM stopped working so had to reinstall LOS. Unfortunately I have to use pattern to unlock bootup of Android now and I don't know how to remove it. I tried no security on LOS security and privacy setting but bootup security still there?

Any work around?

Hey folks, i hope you can help me out..
Just installed LOS 15.1 unoffical for the LE2 of my mother, all working good despite Bluetooth (Not the matter here).
Now i want to install this Root Addon so i can setup Adaway. My questions:
1. How to flash in latest TWRP: Wipe needed? Or just flash and reboot to system?
2. Is safetynet bypass needed for Adaway?

Thanks in advance!

1 no wipe just reboot and activate in developer settings.
2 adaway needs nothing but root. I get it from f-droid.

I had never used the method offered by Lineage to be root, I decided to root with the addon but I did not see the floating request vanetana, someone else happened? I tried RR and Lineage itself and nothing, it does not appear and therefore I can not be root in my OnePlus 5.

I'm a i9300 owner with the same problem. Could you please supply me with the working su-addon-arm. I couldn't manage to exchange the file in the zip-archive.
    I appreciate your help!!!
    Franz

Here is my modified package, which I succeeded to flash : addonsu-arm-signed.zip.

    UPDATE :

Sorry, but my virus scanner doesn't like that link....
    I also uploaded it here.

@farside268 Dude! Hi! I'm also have z00a and have the same problem, could you please upload your older version of this addon? Really, really thank you in advance!
If anyone is in search of the first/original releases, of the LineageOS Addon-SU files, I still have them all archived on my File Host Account here:

    https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=193272

Since the time that CyanogenMod had disbanded and, LineageOS was established, i decided to archive certain items from LineageOS.

PLEASE NOTE: I found out that when LineageOS released the updated Addon-SU files, it was not intended as an update for the first releases that worked for individuals but, for those who had experienced issues with the first release.

As, purely, a Personal opinion... I think that individuals who wanted to flash the new Addon-SU, should have flashed the Addon-SU Uninstaller first, then reboot and flash the updated one.

In addition, always keep the copy of BOTH the Addon-SU Installer AND uninstaller. This should actually go for any file that you use in order to prevent having to find them again.

Like the saying goes (in a way)... If the first release worked, then why try to fix it with the second release.

Just a friendly FYI for those who may not be aware of this... :)

    addonsu-arm-signed.zip can't flash via recovery

addonsu-arm-signed.zip can't flash via recovery. Gives an error : Updater process ended with signal: 4
    Phone : Samsung Galaxy S3 Int (i9300)
    OS : lineage-14.1-20170125-nightly-i9300-signed
    Recovery : TWRP 3.0.2-2

PS : When I got update-binary (META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary) from addonsu-arm64-signed.zip and replaced in addonsu-arm-signed.zip, I was able to flash it!

What's the diference between suaddon from lineage and supersu? do I need to flash both? or do I need to pick one?
SuperSU is a closed-source, proprietary superuser solution, and the other is LineageOS provided solution. There are other options as well, such as PHH Superuser. Choose one, they all essentially do the same thing.
