I reflashed a rom with stock Oreo , wipe all, format sd, and flash with newflasher, necessary a "force power off" too.

Works fine for me. I have G8141, i used aroma twrp (any should work) ad Magisk 17.3. Another friend with G8142 is having bootloops so its trial and error at the moment.

Strange, I haven't flashed any kernel and it worked straight away, just lucky I guess.

Where's the latest patched boot.img? And for me it works just fine without patching, simply by installing the canary build of magisk, alongside the canary build of magisk manager.

Yes. Bootloader unlocked but camera work fine
It,s a good new for us.
May be sony have removed drm key check with camera
