Root and update to android 5.1 without loosing warranty (don't touch bootloader)

Hi all,

I just bought this tablet (sgp511) at black friday and am now looking for root with latest android. As far as I understand, I will loose warranty if I touch/unlock boot loader, so I'm looking for a method without doing so.

As far as I understood, I first have to root to be able to flash without touching boot loader (should be no problem - tablet still is at 4.2.2, so towelroot should work), then I have to flash a pre-rooted version of 5.1. Is this right, or did I miss something? Where do I get a pre-rooted 5.1 image? All flashable zips I found here seem to touch the boot loader...

Thx in advance for your help!

Ah, so I think I misunderstood it - installing custom recovery does not need unlocked boot loader? I already read kulvertti's post, but I thought I have to unlock boot loader to install custom recovery, but if it's not necessary, everything is fine. :)
