I heard today that the 2.82 zip from CCMT should be different than the original one from Chainfire.
Since I didn't had the Link to the original one and didn't know that , I used until yet CCMTs zip.
Now I found the original from Chainfire.
I will take this now for modifying instead.
Will see, maybe it makes the difference.

Permissive for V4A

I installed this as SuperSU update on moonlight rom 3.0 yesterday and the new version today. It's working fine.
Thanks for the good work!

One remark:
First i tried the SEL enforcing version (1a), but then Viper4Android stopped working. So I changed to permissive version (1b) and V4A is working again.

1b which is permissive is not working on p10 lite it just loops until it shows emui recovery
Hi - other Users of this Thread had successfully rooted P10 Lite - its little difficult with 2.82 to get it to work.
Have you read my recommendation in OP how to do and try?

It's necessary to Unroot your device with 2.82 and not flash it over existing Root. With the steps I wrote.
And if this isn't working you must flash first original stock boot.img and root immediately after without booting to system between...

"2.6-SuperSU2.82-EMUI5-SelPermissive.zip" and "2.6-SuperSU2.82EMUI5noveritySelPermissive.zip" does'n work in Mate 8 (v.2.81 did)... bootloop.

I had to revert to v2.81.
SuperSU 2.82 is working once it can be successful installed - only problem is that it's difficult to get it correctly installed.
And as I said in OP - it's easy on some (same) devices and on other not.
But I wrote some techniques to alternative try than just flashing and say its not working.
Since other Users of the Thread has successfully rooted Mate 8 :)

Chainfire will add support for Huawei Devices to official SuperSU

Official answer from Chainfire - hope for next future :good:

Great problems for all owners of Huawei Devices:
Since Huawei has removed the Loop Mount support from their Android 7 Firmwares it's no more possible to root Huawei Phones with the official SuperSU.
Since version 2.79 exists a modified version for Huawei Phones for EMUI.
It worked on most Huawei devices until the updated version 2.81.
But the code of SuperSU 2.82 is much different than in 2.81 and it seems very difficult to update also modified SuperSU EMUI5.0.
All owners of Huawei Devices would be very happy if the official SuperSU could include also Support for Huawei Phones - what is currently not the case at all
Just want to report.
We're aware of the issue. I hope to have an officially supported solution in v2.82 SR2. Please keep your eye on the BETA thread. https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133

I have installed "Version 1 / b - Name: 2.6-SuperSU2.82-EMUI5-SelPermissive.zip" and it works pretty well on P9 but I do not see the SuperSu icon in the Drawer :confused:
