Some Apps needs installed Busybox - flash universal.zip YDS by yashdsaraf https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/tool-busybox-flashable-archs-t3348543

And check settings inside SuperSU apk - maybe Root Permissions not allowed for ES

I flash it, and I check SuperSU, but not a permission problem because it don't ask it.....

@rayman95 see edited post - have you tried deleting cache and data inside ES apk (Settings /Apps/ES File Explorer) and uninstall /reinstall?
tried both but without success

Do you use latest zip from OP (today) - I am also on b386 and ES File Explorer works just fine. I can delete System Apps (Folders)
Try unroot (steps in OP) and root again. (without boot between to system)
Tell me the result please

thank you for your help...
My 2 versions of es explorer who doesn't work are versions arranged to remove ads.....ES_File_Explorer_3.2.5.5_signed, and one updated version, because after this version, es put too much ads and functions inside...
but finally I found a non hacked Pro version 1.0.8 who say me to uninstall it or go to playstore, but ask me root permission and work for the moment, but I use amaze file explorer just in case.......and yes I'm with last version of permissive SU....

OP updated - Versions Final also with mixed code

OP is updated - on 7.06.2017 I made zips based on original Chaifires code just with some small modifications
- for devices which have already Firmwares above b38x (with integrated Loop-Support)
Today, 09.06.2017 I made zips with mixed code from Chainfires original SuperSU and the phh superuser - same as Version 2.79 and 2.81 for EMUI was. This should work on devices without newer Firmwares and without Loop Support

Weird.. I tried 1 and 4 via TWRP recovery and the phone would just immediately shut off near the mounting image process (There was a few more text but I couldn't read it as it shut off so quickly).
If I use SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815-EMUI5.0 however it roots fine (Nougat L09C432B383 with unlocked bootloader).

Am I using some sort of wrong version of TWRP?

Have you tried one of the other versions (there are 10 available yet - 4 based on original Code and 6 based on mixed code.) The first 4 cannot work for you, if your firmware and/or TWRP has no loop support.

You were spot on correct! :good:

My TWRP had no loop support while my ROM did and I updated to the latest one (twrp img) that has and '1. SuperSU' flashed no problem!

Thanks for adding this Link.

I have also posted this news in OP this morning. :)

But your Link shows a good summary about SR1.
Related to Huawei Devices:

"This new update to SuperSU also fixes some compatibility issue with new firmware versions on Huawei devices, but don’t expect it to fix all the issues."

I had not time to test it yet - did you test it?
No I haven't tested it since I already had SuperSU 2.82 I installed with KangVIP B588

What are the differences between "enforcing", "permissive" and the third option?
Android runs SELinux Enforcing as default. Means more security, but less rights.
Permissive sets SELinux in permanent Permissive state. Means less security but more rights. Viper4Android for example cannot run without Permissive on Android 7.
Which version do you mean with third option?
Reply, will answer
