Which Phone, which Firmware?
I know in some configuration it is possible with systemless hosts support enabled from Magisk (settings) - but I have seen also it can break safetynet
Huawei P9 L09C432B386.
Systemless hosts support is disabled.

Xposed Framework is unofficial and works on some devices and on the other not.
Its like Beta...
You can try just with Magisk 13.3 and selinuxP module
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-magisk-selinux-permissive-script-t3577549
But there's no guarantee that Xposed will work..

For Root with Magisk you have to Unroot before from SuperSU App and restore after your boot.img and then flash Magisk

After successful Rooting install Permissive Module.
After flash Xposed arm64 latest one from 26-07-17
http://fastkit.org/xposed/classic/SDK24/26-07-17-xposed-v87-sdk24-Xposed-by-PurifyOS.zip

Don't forget wipe Dalvik and Cache after.

For questions about Xposed ask in the Thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221/page159

Hi @Tecalote

Thanks first of all for this thread.

I am new to everything Huawei so therefore I have a doubt please.

In the OP you mention on point #6 that 6/a and 6/b have been tested on P8 Lite 2017 which is what I have (it is actually the P9 Lite 2017 but the phone and specs are exactly the same as Huawei decided to use a different product name for different regions).

You mention that it is for Kirin 960 but P8/P9 Lite 2017 have Kirin 655.

Am I safe to go with 6/a or 6/b please?

Thanks in advance.

I will answer you soon as possible, at the moment I am working on my Threads for P8 and P9 - if you don't mind

You must use 5 b - with this you can Root your Phone - tested by @ChinHon - look at his Thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/p8-lite-2017-discussion/how-to-root-huawei-p8-lite-2017-android-t3582179

Following devices can be rooted with Version 5 b: P8 Lite 2017 - PRA-LX1, LX2, LX3, LA-1 - P9 Lite 2017 - NovaLite - Honor 8 Youth

I would try 6.a - but make TWRP Backup of original boot.img, system and vendor if possible with your TWRP (I don't know TWRP for p10 lite - can it backup data too? Maybe not cause of encryption)
Thanks for the fast answer!
Well, I got the device like 3 days ago, so now I'm just collecting all the info to root it without problems haha.

As for TWRP, I found this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/how-to/twrp-how-to-root-p10-lite-t3617418, it has twrp from some other site -> (https://www.android-hilfe.de/forum/...uawei-p10-lite.3092/p10-lite-root.829200.html), it's on German so I don't understand a thing there xD, but I see you're German so you could translate what's that about :D
Guess it works for basic functions :D

Does SuperSU-v2.82-EMUI5-SELPermissive.zip work with the latest updates b388, b390 for L09 c432?
Btw (sorry, off topic for these theme), what is the best Nougat stock ROM, our old b386 from May, later (IMO, only security updates) b387, b388, b390 or the recent as showing in FirmwareFinder, b383 (Aug 10, FullOTA-MF-PV, 92900)?

Hello - b386 is the official Version which is Flashable with dload method, all higher updates are only for some users available by OTA.
B386 can be rooted with official SuperSU 2.82 SR1
https://download.chainfire.eu/1114/SuperSU/SR1-SuperSU-v2.82-SR1-20170608224931.zip
I would not recommend SR2 or SR3 at the moment.
But you can Root it also with version 1 and 2 from OP.

BTW: Have a look to my Custom Rom MagicRainbow v2 based on b386

Thanks man, waiting for your reply! :)

Hi, I had read those Threads - the German Forum used my older 2.81 version (which is patched with phh files cause of missing loop support for this Firmwares)
They didn't check that I made same with 2.82 (last final version) - and I think if 2.81 worked, this Version of SuperSU should be good:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634776377

TWRP you must look how it does. If possible back up your boot.img before flashing SuperSU.
SuperSU should work.
Only problem is, at the moment a new SuperSU comes released - you can't update it with official SuperSU. Then you must stay on 2.82 because I am not sure if it will be possible to update this EMUI Version to next release...

And be careful and do it at your own risk. Since I have P9 and not your device I can't test and give you guarantee..
Maybe you search on xda for further information how to use this TWRP and what it can or not can...
