It is hard to believe within a few days three new versions of SuperSU.
First was 2.80 and some hours later on the same day was 2.81.
CCMT told on the xda site: "We are deeply sorry about the installation errors and failures happened in v2.80. The new update v2.81 has rolled out on XDA and Play Store to fix the problem occured in v2.80"
And now two days later Version 2.82..
Seems 2.81 had not really fixed the problems.
I will update OP tonight with the new 2.82 for EMUI

I flashed YDS busybox.
Oem unlock is is turned off and grayed out in developer settings.
I had this same thing happen on my honor 8. My solution was to use the rollback package provided by Huawei to roll my device firmware back to 6.0 MM, then I was able to enable oem unlock through developers settings once again, and then upgrade to 7.0 NOUGAT again, where oem unlock was grayed out once again, but this time in the on position rather than off... It's a pain in the @$$ but it was the only known solution. Keep in mind this was on the honor 8 but I would imagine the steps would be the same in ur case...

GENERAL QUESTION, has anybody got this to work for the Honor 8 (mine is USA version, FRD L04) ? And if so what method and which version? I am currently rooted with Magisk and TWRP as recovery, but I like to explore and experiment with various rooting methods and I haven't gotten successful root yet with this method, but I did with the SuperSU 2.79 for EMUI...

Sent from my HUAWEI FRD-L04 using XDA Labs

Can you send me yds installer log please (it's on internal Storage)
I can't understand, why Oem Unlock is off - great out is normal in Nougat, but it must show enabled if Bootloader is open.
Also I don't understand, why Bootloader gets closed

For all:
Please don't use 2.81 anymore at the moment, cause 2.82 is out.
Seems there was general issues in 2.81

How did you root with 2.79? Did you use the 2.79 Emui SuperSU.zip?
Is there a working TWRP for your device which allows you to backup and restore your boot?

If yes you can backup boot before flashing - and I would try version 4, cause it works on P10 which is similar to P10 lite.
If it doesn't work restore boot with TWRP and try version 2 or 3
Hi, excuse my English but I'm using a translator.
I'm using this SuperSu
TWRP beta 3.1.0-2

Edit: On the p10 lite thread they posted the SuperSu 2.81 that works perfectly.

When will version 2.82 come out I can install it on p10 lite?

Version 2.82 come out soon if it is ready and tested. I am working on it. Be patient.
The p10lite Thread uses my 1. Version - so its good to know, that its working on p10lite too :)

You need this TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/twrp-t3565703
And after flash with this TWRP this SuperSU and you are rooted
If you don't know how to flash TWRP, search related Thread
Would you happen to know how to rollback a L19? I can't find the files and all the guides only have the rollback for L09. my oem unlocking is greyed out and in the off position. I've been trying to flash it for days and it won't work :crying:

First make a backup of your data
You must download this Rollback Transition Pack: http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=91624&version=357541&siteCode=ro
This is working for EVA-L19 + EVA-L09 (both).
You must unzip the file on PC and copy the UPDATE.APP in a folder on you external SD - name it: dload
You must flash with 3 Buttom Method (force upgrade) VOL+ and VOL- (press Key in the middle down and stay on it) and same time press Power Button /Phone reboots. Soon as Huawei Logo comes you can release only Power Button but keep pressing down Vol+ and Vol- until EMUI-Software-Installing begins....
After you are on b300 and you must download following Firmware: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1079/g104/v74994/f1/full/update.zip
This is b182 - you must flash it same method than b300 (unzipping, dload-folder, 3 button). Bootloader get closed. If you receive a OTA Update to b210 - dont install it.
And have a look into your "About Phone" what Build-Number says: if EVA-L19C432B182 - everything is okay. If there is C900 you must do some more steps....
To go up to Nougat is difficult this time! But you find a way described in my Thread - see #1 (OP) and for changing C900 to C432 #2: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-huawei-p9-magic-rainbow-t3601064

The Update to SuperSu 2.82 needs more time than I thought.
Its difficult cause there's some Signatur check integrated which detects a modification.
Sorry but in this case I need more time...
