First make a backup of your data
You must download this Rollback Transition Pack: http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=91624&version=357541&siteCode=ro
This is working for EVA-L19 + EVA-L09 (both).
You must unzip the file on PC and copy the UPDATE.APP in a folder on you external SD - name it: dload
You must flash with 3 Buttom Method (force upgrade) VOL+ and VOL- (press Key in the middle down and stay on it) and same time press Power Button /Phone reboots. Soon as Huawei Logo comes you can release only Power Button but keep pressing down Vol+ and Vol- until EMUI-Software-Installing begins....
After you are on b300 and you must download following Firmware: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1079/g104/v74994/f1/full/update.zip
This is b182 - you must flash it same method than b300 (unzipping, dload-folder, 3 button). Bootloader get closed. If you receive a OTA Update to b210 - dont install it.
And have a look into your "About Phone" what Build-Number says: if EVA-L09C432B182 - everything is okay. If there is C900 you must do some more steps....
To go up to Nougat is difficult this time! But you find a way described in my Thread - see #1 (OP) and for changing C900 to C432 #2: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-huawei-p9-magic-rainbow-t3601064
Why eva-L09? shouldn't it be EVA-L19xxxxxxxx?

I had this same thing happen on my honor 8. My solution was to use the rollback package provided by Huawei to roll my device firmware back to 6.0 MM, then I was able to enable oem unlock through developers settings once again, and then upgrade to 7.0 NOUGAT again, where oem unlock was grayed out once again, but this time in the on position rather than off... It's a pain in the @$$ but it was the only known solution. Keep in mind this was on the honor 8 but I would imagine the steps would be the same in ur case...
Thank you very much for the explanation. I was thinking of doing it eventually if I do not find any easier solution.
Can you please tell me where could I find Huawei's rollback package?

So what .zip I have to use to root my Eva-l09c432?
Wait please for further testing.
@dkionline Which Firmware did you root - did you root it over a rooted or clean Firmware?
Because yesterday I tried to Root b383 (not custom build) and it wasn't successful.
I try it once again in the evening.
I flash Stock Firmware again and try to Root it with unmodified SuperSU.
Maybe it works:
A) over existing Root - or
B) If the Firmware is complete clean - means untouched boot, data, system, vendor.
I had a Stock b383. I did tests with SuperSU 2.81 the days before. I restored a TWRP Backup, but just from boot, system and data. I didn't have a Backup from vendor.
Maybe that's why the test with unmodified SuperSU was failed on Stock b383...
I'll test it again in the evening with clean Firmware

Official SuperSU 2.82 is not really a solution for EMUI Devices

@dkionline I flasht on my P9 Test-Phone Stock Firmware b383 and data with dload - so I had a complete clean Firmware - without Root.
I tested flashing official SuperSU 2.82 -but it was not succesful !
Thats why I asked you, on which firmware you had succesful flasht this official SuperSU on your P9?

Anyway, its not really a solution - if it works on one firmware and on the other not. And what is with the other devices?
So I am going to try again making a EMUI SuperSU with the newest Version.

@Tecalote Fullwiped now, flashed my internal mOOnlight based on B386 and working well, no error in handling SuperSU 2.82.
Yes, that's what I meant - it works in b386 with your custom build (and perhaps on b386 Stock) - but it don't work on a Stock Firmware b383 on p9.
So its not a solution for general EMUI 5 like SuperSU 2.79 EMUI mod

Just want to share with others, who are using KangV customized roms, Version 3 works fine on my Mate8 B587 rom. Try version 3 before put your hands on version 5 please. Save some time.
