I am working to get 2.81 updated to 2.82. Its very difficult, but not impossible.
But 2.82 will not be the final version.
Since Chainfire and CCMT are working on several issues, because 2.82 isn't compatible with Sony Xperia Devices.
This update 2.82 solves most problems for most devices, but its not really a "final" version like 2.79 was.
So next update isn't so far away...
Its not to understand why SuperSU doesn't anymore generally support Huawei Devices - except the "political" background between Huawei and Google and the known truth, that CCMT is a Chinese Company.

Read one post before, it works on Honor 8 - but after SuperSU will also ask you for update, because 2.82...

For the moment I have unchecked automatic updates for SuperSU in Playstore - see Screenshot

OP is updated with the new Versions 2.82 - please read the Notes in OP - it seems, it is important for Phones, which have already Root, to UNROOT first with the SuperSU App (its a little bit difficult with Custom Roms, but there is a Guide in OP) Phones without Root can be rooted with just flashing and mostly it works also flashing over existing Root - but sometimes not! In this case you must complete Unroot before flashing again.

mate8 al10 kangv b587 rom report, none of the 2.82 root zip can be flashed sucessfully in twrp. Unroot was failed in the first place. and the following flashing process would be automatically interupted and forcefully reboot in twrp. any idea? or anyone have the same issue?

btw, double checked 'SuperSU-2.81-EMUI5_init.d_SELpermissive.zip' that downloaded days before, still working perfectly here.

Same with me. It's impossible to unroot SuperSu files.

Both versions of superSu v2.82 and couldn't use the fingerprint reader with any of them
I mean, the option disappeared from the settings menu. Unroofed the superSu file, and flashed phh superuser to see if it's a conflict with root itself but fingerprint and phh seems to get along.

Am I doing something wrong with superSu 2.82? If so pls let me know, I use a lot the fingerprint reader, saves a lot of time: specially in a big device like this is.

For 2.82 you must unroot your Phone from current SuperSU and doing the Steps I have written in OP. And you must use Version 3 for KangV (OP is updated)

Edit: If you can find and flash b587 Firmware boot.img, which is not prerooted, it should work.

Did you also try Unroot from SuperSU and after flashing the 2.82?

Same with me. It's impossible to unroot SuperSu files.

You would need a original Stock boot.img for this Firmware (on which the Rom is based) - KangV uses a prerooted boot.img - that's a problem with 2.82

If you made Unroot from SuperSU App with restoring the original boot.img you can flash SuperSU 2.82
