i got some issues here mate.
1st, after the 2nd boot, "sending recovery, update" were all failed(invalid argument)
2nd, after i manually reboot my phone(still connected with cp) the cmd boot continues and ends wihtout the supersu app.
please help

i am trying to unfreeze my zenfone 5 after the random freezes. got the freeze after bootloader unlock. i go back to kk now i'm trying to root it to change the ifwi version(currently 59.a1) for my zenfone to work again. but the link for RootZenFone5KitKatv4 is not working bro. can you provide a working link for me? thanks a lot or if you know an easy fix for freeze kindly send the link to me. thanksss
Root Kitkat Zenfone 5 (2.21.40.44 ) :
This method is working properly,just replace Root z5 kitkat v2 by RootZenFone5KitKatv4.

What do you mean by "unfreeze" ?

i don't know what's the term you guys use for fixing freeze issue so 'unfreeze' wouldn't hurt i guess. :silly: i tried to relock bootloader , i did go back to stock but my phone is still freezing. i read something that it's because of the ifwi version. i found a fix but it's for kitkat. so now i go to kitkat, trying to root. then unlock relock bootloader again.Here you go RootZenFone5KitKatv4-WW-2.21.40.44.Cheers!!

Aha your phone is hanging after unlocking bootloader.Did you erase "data" and "cache" via fastboot after Unlocking the bootloader ?
There is another executable tool "BBootloader-Unlock_Relock.exe" by SatySatsZ which cana be used to Unlock or Relock bootloader.
Reply back if you resolve the issue so other users can also get a clue

Meanwhile,you can upgrade to Lollipop 3.24.40.78 and gain root access following this guide.
