First connect your device in your PC and then open command window and type
adb devices

If your device is listed there then proceed for next.
If not then download all necessary drivers for your device first then install it in your PC and then check whether it's showing your phone or not.

i have installed adb-setup-1.4.3, still its not showing
any other specific update ?

I want to know some basic things before I tell you the solution -
1. Did you enabled android debugging in developer menu ?
2. Did you installed intel drivers for your device in your PC ?
3. Did Checked whether your usb cable is connected properly ?
4. Which version of windows you are running ?
5. Which version of android version you are running?

I meet the problem at point 7. The bat file will open and the rooting process is now

at point 7 ,my pad restart again and again ,then the screen appear a green robot and "wrong"

hi guys, I already try the tutorial in my previous zenfone 5 and it works really well

this time, friend of mine wanna root his zenfone 5 too, when I try to connect it to my pc through usb cable, it won't show connect in device manager
I already try reinstall the driver, change the cable, test the cable to another device and nothing work, so my guess the usb micro port in this zenfone 5 not working(charge only)

so I wanna ask something :
1. is there any "secret" method to fix the usb micro port without changing hardware?
2. is it possible to run this tutorial without usb cable? (I mean using custom recovery or something), is it safe?

I followed all the instructions, all the exact same things. But when I click the bat file -ZenFone5-en, my phone shuts down goes directly to "Droidboot". ASUS_T00K
