Guys, not sure if this wrong place to put this . I started this thread on ac last year with help from others and its in regards to the scrolling home screens. It's an annoyance to me and reason fir me to root. I did not buy the note yet but will do it now if someone can confirm this mod works. Thanks so much.

Thanks Bizack. The problem with the cf auto root for sprint is that it does trip the Knox counter. You guys have it good because y'all have uncovered the Holy Grail with your boot method in that it doesn't trip the knox counter whereas cf auto-root does. I don't have a concern about potentially "compromising" any warranty clause. However I have an issue with a manufacturer or carrier telling me what I can do with my $800 phone especially since it was never an issue in the past. I guess I'm gping on principle here. The fact that Verizon was able to circumvent what Samsung claimed to be such a secure enterprise solution makes me happy to no end. Congratulations to y'all and kudos to your devs on your achievement. Now that you guys have pioneered the way I think I'll hold up for a few more days to see if Chainfire can crack the other carriers. I have faith in that man. He had done AMAZING work in his time.

Where do I send chain fire and anyone else working on the bootloader and root some cash money? It's the least I can do.

What am I missing? How am i supposed to:
Copy the contents of to the root of the internal sdcard
/sdcard/
root_de_la_vega.sh
root_files (folder)

Extract Root_de_la_Vega.zip
Then open that once done.
Place those 2 files onto to your internal sd card. Restart your phone. Once it's booted up delete them. Restart again. You should have root..

Do you have the right Samsung Drivers. You might have to wait like 30 sec. It will say sm- 900v click on that. Should have internal sdcard excess that way.

Don't use adb.

I was making it too complicated. I just need to put it in the folder that comes up in explorer. I was looking for a folder called 'sdcard'.

Agreed. Posting mirrors of *any* work by another individual should be ok'd by that person first. Mirrors are appreciated, but only if the original developer gives consent. Feel free to post your own how-to video, but files should be linked to the OP unless DesignGears says otherwise.
