Knox stays 0x0...

...but when booting up, an unlocked padlock icon appears below the Samsung logo. In reading other forums, it didn't appear that there was any way around that. If nothing else, I'll be able to uninstall some bloat and use TiBU to do a backup. I've got a 64Gb SD card installed. That said, I doubt I'll load any custom roms if they become available. I like the handset the way it is. I'm glad the community was able to achieve root!

You can make that unlocked padlock go away. Just download Exposed Installer from the Op's Link, then go to the App Store and download "Wanam Xposed". Activate it via the Exposed Installer App. There is a setting in "Security Hacks" tab on the Wanam app that will allow you to "Fake System Status". This will make your phone boot into the normal logo without the padlock icon.

I had planned on returning my note 3, then Gearz gifted the community root! I am very thankful for his hard work!

I'm in the process of switching my warranty from my Note 2 to the Note 3. And the minute I do that I will be rooting. Such an achievement and I'm so excited to ROOT this beast

I know rooting our devices "void" the warranty, and I know I could switch afterwards as the company would have NO clue I rooted prior to getting the coverage. It's more of a piece of mind thing for myself. Either way, great job again and can't wait to dive in.

I asked earlier but still curious. Will custom ROMs be flashable via Odin, or do we need to wait for custom recovery/a workaround on the boot loader?

Since Knox isn't triggered, once root is achieved Knox can be disabled? If it's not disabled will my exchange work email administration policies be effected?

Be very careful. Wanam soft bricked my phone. It is not compatible with 4.3 Do not attempt this until updated by developer.

Yikes. Do you know what setting caused the soft brick? I've applies probably 20 tweaks (mostly theme adjustments, some system adjustments) without any issues. Did you download your version of Wanam from the App store after already installing Exposed Framework?

Tried downloading this and the stock odin through every browser my phone has, failing to even start usually. Assuming it's still being hit up hard in the server. Will give this a day and try again. Thanks for cracking this open. Can't wait.

Yes I updated through the play store. I'm not sure which setting it was. I made many adjustments at one time and went for it. When I restarted, would not get past the Verizon white screen.
