I was able to Root; SuperSU; and Busybox on Easyroot v4 with a clean .402 install.Hi,
Just confirming here that it was very easy to gain perm root at my Xperia Tablet Z2 (SGP512) with buildnumber 17.1.1.A.0.402. Was using EasyRootTool v5 and SuperSU v2.00. :good:
Mine still shows SGP512I was able to Root; SuperSU; and Busybox on Easyroot v4 with a clean .402 install.
BUT my device now says SPG511; although its a SPG512. Could not find a .402 firmware that was 512 specific; so went with a 511 ftf.
Minor issue dont think i will bother; hope to resolve when there is another major firmware update.
Just glad to be free of bloat and enjoy the freedom of a rooted device![]()
i take it you did not flash that .402......and it was an (OTA) update?Mine still shows SGP512
When I got the stock tablet from SONY's shop, I immediately updated with the OTA update. So I rooted the tablet with the OTA .402 firmware already installed.i take it you did not flash that .402......and it was an (OTA) update?

Sorry for the noob question. But I don't want to do something wrong with my wife's tablet... I'm dead.......
So I have a SGP521 (it's a LTE)
Android :4.4.2
Build : 17.1.1.A.0.402
Is this tablet compatible with a root exploit?
If yes, can you point me to the easier way to do it. I just want the root for having the full hand on the tablet.
Thanks in advance and sorry again for the noob question.
