Try out any other file explorer with root capabilities...
There's no hard and fast rule, that you need to use only and only root explorer...

Typed using a small touchscreen

Use ES explorer or any app which has access to root

suggest some explorer which have capability to grant permissions to various system files like root explorer¡ :what::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
