It tells you in big letters in the OP if Odin doesn’t work to get a usb2 mini hub. @elliwigy also told you the same thing

I fixed my Odin issue..quick question though, I flashed the magisk zip included in the original post, but can't find a manager that works with it. I see it says hide and modules aren't working so does that go for the manager itself as well?

what exactly is it you need for this combo firmware?? i had given up all hope when i tried my root process and it never would go thru. i never thought to try a dang hub on my pc....at the same time tho my phone is now on bootloader 8 as even tho turning off auto updates theres only so long the phone will go until it force updates for some reason.... anyhow if you can lmk how to or if its actually possible for a novice to do so ill gladly take steps to obtaining this so that you may make it work on v8. and donate for the troubles as well.

was this on bootloader v7 or ? would it matter now that im on bootloader v8 to try this ?

someone please help me, I used note 8 N950U and couldn't turn off the screen when using HDMI out, I searched everywhere but it was very bad, the Standby screen is no longer available, I'll pay for someone who can help me, please

im not sure if your saying your phone got stuck, or you wanted to save battery by makin your screen go black while using it in hdmi mode. if its the phone got stuck then holding volume down and power until it vibrates will power cycle the phone. unsure about the hdmi question as i haven tried that. your getting salty answers ect bc this is where those who wanna root a phone thats pretty limited come to do so. even tho the phone is more than capable anyhow...you shouldnt look for phone specific when asking this question online search engines. considering im sure other phones running an hdmi out signal has had this issue.....

Will this root unlock the settings to modify the APN or does this give unlimited hotspot on your stock root/rom in the download . I see that hotspot is on the screen print but it does not say if its stock (where I am limited to caps by the provider ) or is this a mod hotspot where its now unlimited? .. or can you not answer and I need to just load it

Unlimited hotspot so it appears as data is done as follows:
You can easily enable the hotspot by putting net.tethering.noprovisioning=true in /system, open build.prop file and add that somewhere and then reboot.
In the shell or adb shell, issue the following command:
settings put global tether_dun_required 0

What is the best data / settings backup for non-rooted? I used to use Titanium backup.
Before moving to recent PIE, I have been rooted for so many years now. Not sure why I am seeing lag in PIE on T-Mobile, but will be going to your Nougat posted at top page.

One of the reason I downgrade to nougat is the stock camera app.
But the nougat camera app can only record 1080p at 30fps.
It crashes when switch to 1080p 60fps, live focus, pro mode, slow motion

Anyone can also confirm this camera crashes? I am searching for solution now.

Can you try the attached which is the Samsung stock camera app apk v7.6.59 that ships with TWIZtd Vengeance N8 V2.5 dated April 23, 2020 from https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82385347&postcount=1592 and see if it works for what you want it for?

That is great news. I truly regret going the OEM route and taking Samsung updates. I currently have a botchy GPS now thanks to Samsung firmware from a few updates back. Hopefully can downgrade firmware or at least go back to rooted nougat after you release your updated method for V8.

If your meaning when you use google maps. Your location will have you setting still even tho your moving and not update like it should getting you lost rather quickly. I've been encountering the same issue... be aware as soon as v8 method is released force updates will come out.
I however have updates turned off in dev settings. So I'm unsure why it does nothing to stop updates. My girls got the same phone and hers has only updated one time in may of 2019... but it has screen issues. Anyhow , I thought my gps was a google maps issue considering I'm on the beta list.. still assuming this is what you meant? Sorry I went a little random.

I thought for sure it was my phone being broken as well. Didn know about the post tho. I almost always root my devices simply for other set features you cant obtain without rooting, as well as being able to set governors for performance improvements or limiting them for battery life. Sure stock roms are ok at that now days but nothing like having full control over ones phone. Anyways I top am waiting for v8 to be rooted. If or when it comes I'll be watching for it this time.

Unlimited hotspot so it appears as data is done as follows:

Considering one usually cant edit build.prop without it, I'm assuming this is with a rooted phone?
