Considering one usually cant edit build.prop without it, I'm assuming this is with a rooted phone?
Yes because remember this was a question asked about "rooted" nougat. And even with PIE, just because it's not rooted doesn't mean you can't put a edited build.prop there. Just edit the file on a computer and then use SafeStrap to copy it to wherever it needs to be.

The rooted nougat rom is pre-rooted/non-rooted as it won't be root until you flash the SuperSU or Magisk after it.
So the instructions have me flash magisk, before i flash the pre-rooted nougat rom. Excuse my noobness but where would i pickup at this point to have an unrooted nougat rom on my Note 8? I want to be able to pass safteynet.

You flash the root zip last. There is no passing safetynet net if rooted on these devices. Need unlocked bootloader for that to happen

Links and OP updated
Worked like a charm. Thanks again for all your hard work.

Only question I have now on the Nougat Rooted ROM for V8, is there a way to remove the Vol LTE icon in the top status bar?

EDIT:. Also noticing on the V8 Nougat with Magisk flashed from Safestrap that a lot of logs are being generated by Com.samsung.android.hmt.vrshell and automatically being denied. Also happening with the Gear VR apps which I stopped by uninstalling the GearVR apps using Titanium Backup. Log entry generated in Magisk logs almost every minute. Will see if I can free or uninstall anything else in Titanium Backup to get it to stop

Much appreciated! Nougat works great, and for all those suffering from GPS problems from the latest Samsung updates since early this year, they disappeared after reverting back to the Rooted Nougat. Also, just moved to the Pie Safestrap V8 rom, that also works like a charm and I am going to probably stay on that since I can use some apps which Magisk can't hide from Root checks.

Best of both worlds, Rooted Nougat and Safestrap Pie which we can go back and forth from. Great job!!!!
