Official Xposed nougat by Rovo89 works on the Snapdragon S8 and S8+ deodexed. Last I checked official Xposed didn't work on the Note 8 snapdragon. I think the old forked Xposed by PurifyOS for SDK 25 worked on the Exynos model of the Note 8 but never fully worked on the Snapdragon model of the Note 8. Like Xposed never made it past a bootloop on the note 8 Snapdragon.

I was helping to get Xposed working back then, it would be possible but it needs to be rebuilt from source to allow a more verbose debugging mode in order to trace the crash. From what I remember it was the zygote64 process crashing at boot while it was loading a native library. It's been a while but I'm stuck at home and bored so maybe I'll go back to it.

You guys could try flashing the s8+ system image on the note 8 and see if that works. I know the note 8 system image will boot on the s8+ so it should work vice versa. Xposed works on the s8+

How can I flash the phone back to official pie?

I just did a DIY battery replacement, and i know that for samsung phones i have to clear battery cycles to make my new battery really be able to charge to its full state.
To do that I need either be a worker at samsung or just root my phone and edit a file. Today i see this post and execute those steps until step 7(It's rooted). Successfully edited that file I'm totally happy with the result. THANKS A LOT, IT'S REALLY HELPFUL!
But after editing I think i need my official firmware back but don't know how to download the official firmware. My phone csc code is VZW. And final firmware before root is N950USQS7DTA5. Where can I download Verizon firmware for free?

You don’t need to do anything. After 2 charge cycles it will be fine. Just keep in mind many aftermarket batteries thought they claim are better do not perform as well as the stock battery did when new

Xposed just never worked on Samsung 7.1.1 nougat even deodexed but the s8 is only 7.0 so thats the difference

So far everything works. Camera..Bixby(even though I don't use it) Safestrap boot screen. Only issue I had was Galaxy store. I would get a pop up but it would still update apps. About phone shows Note8...thought it would show as S8+. But yeah no major issues.

Hey safestrap will not work probably. You may need to flash safestrap for note 8 using flashfire

Did you flash in safestrap? Did it appear to flash?

Yes I did a wipe, Flashed with Safestrap and it it was successful. But in odin the S8+ bootloader file would not flash
