So there's quite a bite of confusion for the canadian SM-G955W variant . Was wondering if anyone can clear some stuff up for me.

Is there a Root method, for the SM-G955W S8+ ... ??
and can u link it if there is...

None of the CF Auto root **** seems to be working . any info would help.

*UPDATE* , ok so , Threw some research on here and on youtube i have managed to Root the s8+ sm-g955w canadian Rogers variant (rwc)

Also, Head over to sam mobile. i have linked the SM-G955W S8+ firmware for u , This is your back up , just to be safe, (nothing happend to me all i needed from this firmware package was the CSC an the systme image from the AP file) - >

Be sure to Follow EVERYTHING this guy does, Honestly took me 2 hours , to pause every 30 seconds to just make sure over an over that everything was correct, So , with that said, If i need to show proof on my phone that this works here yah go

with that said, Theres no more confusion , the SM-G955U root method works for SM-G955W (ROGERS)(RWC) carriers, havent tried with bell or not even sure if it matters tbh, .
Cons so far :
1.The phone will not show charging nor charge when it reaches 80 % battery life, (SMALL ISSUE TO ME)
2.And im not sure if the CSC file is whats making my bixby Fudge up. But im going to try to flash the CSC file from (XAC) variant from sammobile. an see if that fixes it, or if someone knows that Bixby is done when you root , please comment so i can include that in the cons, lol

can some one help im trying to root my 955w i downloaded the files for odin and my phone i dont know what im doing wrong but they dont unzip as tar files and wont load in odin im on wind 10 and using win zip

Hi Guys....need some instructions for rooting my canadian variant of s8+ G955W...running android 8.0...baseband is G955WVLU5BRI6......there is a lot going on this thread without a proper working confirmation of actual root working....
please advice...
