Others seemed to have good results on this thread. Not so much with me. The process seems to have changed. over what was previously described here. There is a Telegram that seems active. There is a new web site now for payment.

I paid on the web site. Got an e-receipt immediately after payment. Waited patiently a few days, heard NOTHING back. Telegraph group indicates they are having payment problems and they would not be accepting orders? So I emailed. Waited days again. Heard nothing back. Emailed again. Nothing.

Then a misfortune with the phone. Gone to the great Android in the sky. No phone now to root. No refunds.

I would be cautious...

Everyone is talking about unlock/root via some mystery method, but no one can post a link to the site, etc. This whole deal seems highly effed-up to me... I love my unlock/root, but I doubt I will pay $150 especially with everyone so mum on how to do it. At minimum I would use a card that I can dispute the charges if sh__ goes south.

I am having second thoughts about my purchase of the GN20U when I have/had a Google Pixel 4 XL which is unlocked and rooted without all the hoop jumping...

It's a paid service so links aren't allowed, have you asked for someone to PM you about where to find the service?

Just to add, I have been bootloader unlocked and rooted since October. The process is legit. It was brought to us by very reputable developers that have the means and a contact. I sent the Telegram info in PM's to the last few people that asked.

From what I understand the only way that you are not refunded is if something goes wrong while they are sending the unlock to your device..meaning if you provided the wrong DID number. If they didn't contact you stating the were ready for you I don't understand why your $ wasn't returned.

May I also have the link to UL the Snapdragon Note 20 Ultra US version? I'm going to buy one RIGHT NOW just for root... Was actually waiting to see how the Oppo Find X3 Pro, Snapdragon 888 5G Modem stacked up in the US...

Now that the US Note 20 Ultra has UL BL and Root... I'm all in!!!

Thanks!

It has root, but good luck getting it to still work. With Android 11 about to officially release across the carriers (it's currently only out on AT&T), I highly doubt that this root method would still be compatible... And the fact that you can't unlock any of the NA Snapdragon devices is pretty dumb. Just another one of those things that'll have me never buying another Samsung phone lol. Zero NA customer care =/.

I mean, after I tried the Pixel, there's really no comparison. It's a better, faster phone (also with a Snapdragon) that still has the ability for unlocking bootloader, TWRP, root and custom ROMs...whereas the Snapdragon Samsungs in NA have none of the above ='(

But what they DO have is a flagship phone with a large screen, two features Google seems to have stopped from their Pixel line 😓

But Pixels still have XL versions. They just didn't release a 5XL variant due to losing a disgusting amount of money from their government lawsuit =/. I'm pretty sure that the Pixel 6XL has already been confirmed, but if not, they'll most definitely release an XL again once they have more money to pump in.

But heck, if they never release another XL, I'm not sure where I'd go for my next phone lol

Custom roms will fix all that like they always have.
