Root For S7/S7Edge Oreo And Nougat

Hello I have been running this smoothly for years. As of lately i'm having issues, i need to update the PRL. MMS no longer working.

Is the a flushable PRL zip around anywhere?
Or does anyone know how I can update the PRL/Profile to continue using this?

I successfully rooted my S7 with jrkruse/billa files a couple months ago. Thanks for all the support you guys give here.

The S7 had a verizon SIM when I wrote the new F/W and eng_boot and that works fine but now I need to switch to a Tracfone (verizon) SIM. If I just pop in the TF SIM I get the notification in the first picture then it tries to update but then it fails and I end up at the 2nd picture (dm_verity failed). From there I can reboot but it never updates for the Tracfone SIM. I don't have a password or google account set up on this phone.

BTW, I have another S7 that is verizon branded stock F/W and when I put this same TF SIM in it, it works fine without having to update.

Any thoughts, can I just flash a different CSC or should I just start over and reflash entire sequence with the Tracfone SiM installed?

The new sim carrier change/update is completely normal with the unbranded "U" firmware, however it shouldn't fail. There are two solutions:

1. First, flash it from scratch with the "U" bootloader version "A/10" (5th digit from the right) firmware contained in the rooting guide. Without rooting it insert the new sim card, and let it do the carrier change/update (blue screen). Once that process has completed successfully, then root it as per the guide.

2. Download the "V" Verizon bootloader version "A/10" (5th digit from the right) firmware below (do not flash "B/11" because there's no way to downgrade!), which won't change/update the carrier based with a new sim carrier, then root it as per the guide.

The PRL has nothing to do with MMS (it only affects the signal), something probably got messed up in your phone's setting due to trying different messaging apps (most common issue), or the carrier may have changed something in their servers. I would suggest reflashing and rooting it from scratch as per the guide.
