I think there was a way to unlock the bootloader since mm but they updated it ,the only thing really stopping the unlock in our devices it will have a knox of 0x1 since we have a fused hardware, with oreo many devices ended up being able to unlock the bootloader with a bug found across many other devices ,also many companies are supplying bootloader unlocks for a certain amount of time and the shealth has been like that since nougat all symptoms we had before are still there ,but you can use shealth with an edit of the build prop there is a forum of the previous root methods that show how to do it and it is simple if you achieved root
You're speaking about years of engineering hard works, the dechifrance is like a miracle very difficult to imagine

Ok guys I must warn you, DO NOT install Xposed. I reset 4 times now, I made certain it was the correct Xposed Framework. After a normal boot up I get this screen. The only thing I can do from there is bring up the volume slider. I even reflashed ENG_BOOT only to get the same result. Someone may have reported this earlier but being the way I am, I flash things then ask questions later?

But never have I hard bricked a phone to the point it's unrecoverable. Will the G930T be my first?

@Craz Basics what was the fix for this?
This was tricky... Sometimes, simply wiping cache worked, and other times I had to use adb to remove the app Auth Framework or something of the sort. I'm sure it's in your ROM thread (If only I knew which one?)

However Everytime I would reset, it would fix it. He said he reset 4 times :/

Edit:
So @jrkruse... I got it to stop throwing that error after uninstalling AuthFramework.... Just wipe cache afterwards.

Finally got everything working. The V4 deleted the chameleon app for me, i was able to get my sprint/boost mobile phone (sm-g930p) rooted. The only thing is i dont have is cell service, but i can probably live with that since im getting a new phone next month anyway.

When you re-flashed did still add in the .PIT file which is in one of the other version build "V2 with all-carriers "
Personaly I don't think it matters but just to be sure and might help?

-Also did you wipe Dalvik-Cache then procceed on with Factory-Setup ? - some times that works to get your cell service back.

Not sure, didn't see the file. Is phone service supposed to work after rooting via this method?

New designed root bat on the way. Systemless mode for oreo is going bye bye. It simply is not going to work properly. People having trouble with xposed I need to know before you rooted if you were on my modified stock builds with safestrap.
Magisk root saying rooted but no root permissions, not allowed went back to cre4 att firmware, also don't install a.r.i.s.e audio mod kept getting bootloops

I'll try agsin in a few hours. I was not getting a boot loop though it looks as if it is booting normally then at about 1 minute I get a black screen telling me I need to factory reset (pic below) But did you flash Xposed yourself or let the Installer do it automatically? I let the installer do it, maybe that was my problem;)
I used Framework version 90 Beta 3, i let the installer install it, not Flashfire, with a G930T S7. I'll find a zip and let you know what happens

Flashed with Flashfire just now, got the same result
Did u try a clean install of firmware then flash xposed, what I do is flash the zip then install the app it will say words in yellow but just takes another reboot to work

I maybe wrong but I heard a user say that magisk doesn't work on locked bootloader devices, if you're having bootloop when Arise audio mod installed in device, then backtrack to Arise versions 05062017 as their newest versions are heavily dependent on magisk root solutions, I had same issues on Nougat!

Systemless magisk wont work as it needs to patch the boot but system magisk should work as a regular root app ,the modules may just not work without the patches boot img,but also from just having systemless root on my devices its looking closer there maybe a way to run it also I think it may have been a setting or not setting selinux to permissive may have caused it , never had an issue till now on mm or n with arise but oreo is different I did install music fix which may have made something not work also was on systemless root may have changed some permissions going to attempt again with system su

I also did see that the latest magisk is having issues with other devices with Same problem saying no addon.d support that to use version lower like 9

I'll give it a shot, I was just about time factory reset anyways. Actually, systemless SU is working wonderfully for me, no Xposed though, which I could probably live without. The reason for the factory reset is that I flashed a debloat script and now Busy Box keeps crashing and the Play Store also. Not in the mode to figure out why, Lol. I will try the Dolby Atmos now and report back

I flashed it with Flash fire twice and it didn't seem to do anything, not even an Dolby icon. I placed the files myself in priv-app and installed the apk, tried to open the app but I keep getting a message saying Dolby Atmos has stopped working. I then changed the permissions to 0755 (I always forget about permissions). I got the same result. Im pretty sure the permissions where originally correct from looking at Dolby in the rooted S8 I have . like I said earlier that debloat script messed my phone up pretty good. I just did the reset. I have to go through the setup once again, Lol. Then I will try again

i installed xposed successfully on your modified cre5 rom before we had root. i had returned to stock cre5 which is the rom i rooted and got the verification failed message after installing xposed. btw systemless root worked fine for me
