Ok. Finally, there is a way to root your phones without unlocking the bootloader.
Please download vroot from below link:

You need to have USB debugging switched ON in your phone.

http://www.mgyun.com/vroot

and run it from PC.

Note: I had to run this tool from PC twice to make it work. The same could happen with you. Its 100% working!

Thanks

rooted using that tool

but every time i try to access root permission phone reboots

any help??

mail sent on support mail id of v root

Below are the steps to overcome your difficulty...

1) root using vroot, i suppose u have already done this.
2) install super su.
3) disable vroot by going to settings>apps>all apps. Find vroot, click and then disable it.
4) run super su. It will give a prompt to update su. Select yes and then select normal.
5) your phone might boot abnormally. If it does run super su again. And then again follow the previous step.
6) finally you will see that super su has become your main su app and then you can enable vroot.
7) run super su again and then it will show conflict between vroot and super su. If it does, uninstall vroot from within super su.

Thats all. Do give your feedback. Its very important to disable vroot app to make super su the default app.

This tool not working for me... may be i am doing something wrong because app is in chinese. If you can give screenshots then it will be helpful
This is working for everyone. Make sure that you switched on USB debugging in developer options of your phone before connecting through USB.

Hi,

Please answer below questions:

1) Were you able to successfully root t2 ultra using vroot? Please install "root checker" app and then let me know.
2) If root was successful, did you disabled the vroot app from settings>>apps>>all apps>>vroot befor running SuperSU?

Thanks

I cannot understand the meaning of joy in backing up TA keys.
This method is very good for people who do not want to unlock the bootloader and still want root functionality.
The major issues that i was able to solve since yesterday in my rooted phone are:

1) Solved the low sound problem
2) Made Superior Auto camera mode work in full 13MP resolutions.
3) Install the latest Android L theme for rooted phones.
4) Install the Screen off animation.
5) Activated the in built call recorder in T2 Ultra.

Possibilities are endless. Will come up with more items. And yes, for now atleast I don't need to unlock the bootloader. :)

Thanks

First of all you need to root your phone.

1) Low sound problem was solved using Sound Mod which is available in CWM thread by doomLord.
2) Installed Xposed framework and then installed Cyber-shot xposed module to enable to 13MP in superior auto mode.
3) This is available in Gizmobolt.com homepage. For complete fun, rooting is required.
4) Xposed module named ScreenOffAnimations.
5) Again used Xposed module for the same.

Thanks

Good for backing up TA keys
But
NO Unlocked Bootloader=No Custom Roms(For now),No AOSP Roms,No Kernels
Yes ... u are correct. But atleast we have a root.
However, you are correct. Working as root without unlocking the bootloader seems a bit risky too. If something goes wrong for eg. bootloop etc. there might be no way to recover. Am I correct?
