if we rooted using OP, does it make a difference if we rooted using a decrypt boot img? (as in OP now states to root using a different method which doesnt require decrypt boot img)
should we un-do root and re-root as per new instructions?

If you have rooted your phone. You don't need to redo it again. Just that the new method is more simple than old method in terms of steps

Correct. Only difference is that SuperRoot patches your boot image automatically to "decrypt" (in reality it changes it to "encryptable").

Updated OP as well. If you haven't noticed, ajsmsg78 transferred this thread to me, and I decided that SuperRoot is a simpler way of rooting as you don't need to flash a decrypted boot image = less user error.

Yes. And also you don't need to request ajsmsg78 to create decrypted boot img on every new firmware.

Those files are the data and apps for each firmware.
Let me explain how you get the files:
First check the firmware for ur model here http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php?find_model=mha

Find a full firmware package.
in this example i will use L29C432B156.

Copy the link to ur browser and change at the end of the link update.zip to filelist.xml

http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1366/g104/v75974/f2/full/filelist.xml

Open it in ur browser, you will see the path of each file.
For data file it's update_full_hw_eu.zip and the path is hw/eu ,so replace filelist.xml in the link to /hw/eu/update_full_hw_eu.zip
You will see full link like this: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...4/v75974/f2/full//hw/eu/update_full_hw_eu.zip

Do the same for public zip.

Hope it's clear.
Hello ive been trying to get both files but it keeps telling me the site is temporarily down or permanently moved. http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1356/g77/v76456/f2/full/update_data_public.zip im on the US567 model

Hi,
Does anyone have stock Rom/Firmware for this version MHA-L09C346B136 (Australia Vodafone)?
My mobile is not rooted yet but there are a few infos about rooting this mobile, like to do it but I want a backup of the original stock so in case if something wrong might happen. Where can I get it? Does anyone have a copy?
This site http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/hwdownload/download don't have it.

Sal.
Seems like it has not gotten any updates yet, hwmt.ru doesn't have it. So I'd wait with rooting... I guess you could unlock bootloader, flash twrp and backup everything but /data. And leave it encrypted. Since no update exists you won't get hw_data and public_data for your model, and that causes problems with a bunch of apps if you don't flash them after decrypting.
And even then, if something goes wrong that can't be fixed with backup you'd have to use a paid service to update... But since no update exist you'd have to rebrand to a different model. (which probably isn't a bad idea if you're still on B136 ). I'd wait or rebrand anyway.

I can't rebrand I just recent made a new contract with a new mobile.
If I root the mobile will I still get new firmware updates or fixes?
Do you think its not a good idea using those root privileges apps if my phone is rooted?
