ok, thanks for that, found it and its a .zip file that i then went into magisk itself to install, however the banking app still wont play-ball unfortunately - from reseaching, some say that some of these banking apps cld be also be scanning for other 'root' app, that if you have installed then it is deemed that the phone or device has been rooted, for example TWRP. Titanium Backup, Root Explorer etc etc.

Ah well, it not really a matter of great importance to have to use the banking app, i can still use their banking website :)

...and yeah, there is now a v1.20 of the safetynet fix app.
i installed BANK app .. i opened , it seems to work ! i didn't enter with credentials only cause i'm allowed to use it just over one smartphone and i still use the old one !
i do remember though if somethng was wrong i couldn't even open it !

Anyone who has/have rooted their -->

Redmi Note 10 5G

which version of Xposed (LSPosed or EdXposed)
are you using and which version of XprivacyLua, its all so confusing 😬 as to which is best nowadays for these phones, unlike say 10yrs ago, when there were no LSPosed or EdXposed just Xposed and also then just Xprivacy, it was so much easier to choose

thanks for trying but irritatingly, with the Halifax and probably the Lloyds banking apps, it only falls over and complains about phone being root when you log in ie after youve successfully put in your login credentials ie username/email and password and click login, then it say:

'You have been signed out - Sorry you can't use this app as we've detected that your device has been jailbroken/rooted, You can still use our mobile site.'

it wld have been so much easier to troubleshoot, if it did so on opening the app. :(

This week i upgraded mi pad 4 to LOS18.1. I installed the newest riru, riru Ed Xposed, and newest xprivacylua. Because I had problem with safety net I disabled edxposed and installed the newest lsposed and all is ok now.
People say, Ed has better module manager but kills safety net, LS does not have module manager but is faster and transparent for safety net.

yes indeed Lsposed seem to have good reviews especially with regards to safetynet :D

Find and disable bank app service that detected root. Try Servicely in playstore.

I used your tutorial to successfully get root, but I have a question about how to pass the SafetyNet Check
I saw #97 passed the SafetyNet Check smoothly

You will need some changes ... in magisk .
1. Change magisk name.
2. Activate magisk hide and select google services, google play and bank applications.
3. Install (in magisk) safety net fix 1.1.1 .
Check safety net in magisk. If it will be green, all should work. Else you can only change fingerprint ...
After I follow this step to set up, the phone cannot start. After seeing the 5G logo, it will immediately restart and enter the recovery mode

I use this command to remove the safety net fix 1.1.1 to enter the system
Code:
adb wait-for-device shell magisk --remove-modules

When I rooted M3 pro it passed safety net without universal safety net fix (today exists 1.20 version or 1.2.0).
If enabling this module kills the android it is new for me.

hey guys.. wonderful news.. been trying here and there and IT WORKS FINALLY i gained root of POCO m3 Pro 5G !
i'll write in steps how it works and post all files i've been using

DISCLAIMER as always.. " do it at your OWN risk , i won't be responsible if anything goes wrong, you might risk to brick your phone "

that said :

1 - unlock your bootloader .. it'll take 168 hours so the earlier the best
if you don't know how to do it check XIAOMI bootloader unlock on xda

2 - download your rom (https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/camellia/ get exactly the one you are on ) with this i mean YOU have to DOWNLOAD exactly the ROM you have in this moment installed on your smartphone, you can simply check your rom in settings!

3 - from the zip file extract boot.img

4 - get magisk ( i've used 22.1 and it worked.. you might try with the most recent but since it worked for me i suggest to use 22.1)
now you need to patch original boot.img ( keep a copy of the original one )

5 - copy the patched boot.img you got from magisk and copy it to your pc

6 - VERY IMPORTANT get this "empty " vbmeta.img ( link at bottom of this post)

7 - now reboot your Smartphone in fastboot , you can do it in 2 ways:
adb reboot bootloader
or
turn off poco and then keep pressed VOLUM DOWN and POWER

8 - fastboot commands:
Code:
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img

(you should get this response)
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img Sending 'vbmeta_a' (4 KB) OKAY [ 0.016s] Writing 'vbmeta_a' OKAY [ 0.000s]

now send patched boot.img ( rename it just like so )
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img Sending 'boot_a' (65536 KB) OKAY [ 1.524s] Writing 'boot_a' OKAY [ 0.224s]
and finally :

Code:
fastboot reboot

you will NOT get any

Dm-VERITY corruption on boot

you will get your POCO rooted as i show in the pictures!
IF you have any questions ask.. i'm gonna upload PATCHED boot.img for MIUI Global EEA 12.0.8 stable ( so you get already a pacthed boot.img )
i upload also ORIGINAL stock boot.img always from MIUI Global EEA 12.0.8 stable
and i upload vbmeta.img empty !

enjoy it !!!

FILES : magisk_patched-22100_WInEw.img rename it to boot.img
I have poco m3 pro,fastboot --disable-verity can't run,and after fastboot flash boot patch_boot.img,my poco looping

I have not set correct checkboxes and have not firewalled update system service and I found 12.0.9.0 version on the phone.
Update finished without problems, only root lost.
Selected camellia rom and downloaded camellian rom (what's the hell) and used tool for unpack boot.img :
I repeted the procedure of root and I have 12.0.9.0 rooted.

shld be okay, mine to wanted to update to 12.0.9.0 but i had already blocked auto-updates for now so still on 12.0.8.0, as you found out if it updates, then you lose root and have to re-root.

    Hi folks,
First of all, I would like to thank the author @simika of this thread whose explanations helped me a lot to root my 'redmi note 10 5g' and keep the gPlay certification.

    Steps taken:
    1. 'unlocking': 169 hours, 7 days to wait... boring mood.
    2. Graal was come, 1st try: V12.5.1.0.RKSEUXM fresh install from Ota's installed 'v12.0.11.0'.
    3. Retrieving 'fastboot stock rom' >5gb, extracting boot.img, patching with Magisk 23.0, all ok.
    4. V12.5.1.0.RKSEUXM installation via provided bash file 'flash_all.sh' (included in downloaded stock).
    5. Quick setup to check that all is well and setting up a firewall (vpn version)
    6. Pulling blank 'vbmeta.img' image and the patched 'boot.img':
      Bash:
      $ fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
      $ fastboot flash boot boot.img`
    7. Reboot, goto MagiskHide, the shield icon next to the home one, click on right arrow at top next to 'MagiskHide' label. Now 'check' all packages that have google inside it's name. In parameters, choose a things like 'change apk name', imagine a new name, mine is 'Ksigam', accept a shortcut to main screen, jesut below, you will find a toggle for 'MagiskHide' activate it.
    8. So, modules installation: Riru from available Magisk's modules list, folowed by the last 'safetynet-fix-v2.1.1.zip using manual installation downloaded @kdrag0n github repository, [Thanks @kdrag0n].
    9. Once rebooted, go to device Settings/Applications/GooglePlayStore and clean cache. Try with Magisk, playSafetyNet test is granted, launch gPlay, 'yourAccount/Parameters/About' at bottom 'Certified device'

NOTE1: this is the condensed version of my experience. In facts, i facing with 1.5 soft brick 1st bootloop, 2nd sim card disabled. Both have been solved by a full stock rom re-installation.
    1. the 1st was caused by a try to integrate the patched boot.img & vbmeta.img to original miui rom and flashing/rooting the device in a single pass.
I'm not really sure but after some thought I think the problem might come from the fact that I haven't changed the batch script commands:
      Bash:
      fastboot $ * flash vbmeta_a `dirname $ 0` / images / vbmeta.img
if [$? -ne 0]; then echo "Flash vbmeta_a error"; exit 1; fi
      fastboot $ * flash vbmeta_b `dirname $ 0` / images / vbmeta.img
if [$? -ne 0]; then echo "Flash vbmeta_b error"; exit 1; fi
      concerning the file vbmeta.img into:
      Bash:
      fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
Next time I will do the test.
    2. The second issue was caused as a result of a restart requested by Magisk 23 (honestly I don't understand why this restart was requested) after that the simcard became invisible/disabled ... I tried on another device, the simcard was ok. After going around in circles for a while, I ended up reinstalling the stock rom. The situation remains completely incomprehensible to me.
NOTE2: I used AFWall + for a long time on the Nougat v7 but now with the v12, it seems to no longer work at all, the iptable is present but it no longer filters anything. I find it sad because it was a very good firewall at the time

I hope this could help some people.

It works! on firmware global ( camellian_global_images_V12.5.2.0.RKSMIXM_20211012.0000.00_11.0_global )

    1
    hi , I atach camellian_MIUI_12.5.2.0.RKSMIXM

    ORIG_boot_12.5.2.0.RKSMIXM.img.zip

    and patched
    magisk_boot_12.5.1.0.RKSMIXM.img.zip

    can use
    https://www.7-zip.org/ to unzip it
    used
magisk phh 23 to patch boot.img
    1
thanks to @simika for the guide.

it works on Poco with 12.5.2.0.RKSMIXM and Magisk 23.0

as said before if you want to use GPay you must follow guide to safetynet fix.

i attach original Boot image for 12.5.2.0

AVOID auto firmware UPDATE by Xiaomi

    follow this post:

    3
with one exception, in point 8 I used this command:
    fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
This is know issue. You have "lite" version of adb/fastboot. The version with bigger files will support all parameters.

Another week passed and I was finally able to root my Redmi note 10 5g from UK Vodafone. First I flashed the EEA latest rom V12.0.8.0.RKSEUXM. Than I followed the tutorial from the first page, with one exception, in point 8 I used this command:
    fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
As the command provided was not recognized.
And I used the newest Magisk v23

Hello! Do You know how to fix "dm verity is corrupt"?
The correct flashing vbmeta.img should fix this problem.

GOOGLE PAY WORKS... another good news 👍👍👍 @Kwiato
