I dont have audio playing from my phone anymore
I deleted soundalive....am i screwed?
Yep. Screwed forever phone is ruined just toss it

Lol jkjkjkjk worst case reflash system + root. I would extract a rom image and pull out the files I deleted and push them to my phone. Selinux context doesn't matter in this case as we are all in permissive mode

You really should not follow these directions but instead flash a premade zip. I recommend this one:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-viper4android-fx-2-5-0-5-t3577058

Ignore the for magisk part if you aren't running magisk, it works great on system root too

All tutorials circulating around are unfinished. Something is missing, some small line, part. I tried all possible and it gave me just many ROM reflashings to clean junk from phone. Not talking now about xda forum, but many, many blogs put unfinished tutorials just to earn money from ads.

Same is for TWRP tutorials for S8. Took me many ROM reflashings just because on 90% of those "expert" blogs nobody write that Power Up + Bixby + Power HAVE TO be pressed already before clicking Start on ODIN. Difficult to make, but it can be if you mark Start button checked first, and press enter with some other finger.
3 physical buttons can be pressed under ODIN TWRP flashing, but do not think you are so fast.

Same is here, some line is missing. Tried Magisk Apk way, tried many TWRP V4A flash ways.

The download mode key combo is not the same for all bootloaders, as the factory boot for us snapdragon devices is down+power+bixby and up+power+bixby is for recovery mode. Perhaps this is why they did not include soecific keys to press.

Unlss you are talking about the push up to confirm screen you are inititally taken to (i muest confess i was unable to parse every bit of your post), to me it should be obvious as its written on the screen in huge characters. When i am flashing and forget about this, when i see odin not moving, the first thing i do is look at the screen to see what is happening and it is right there, in over 30pt font

As for viper, as i have stated numerous times even in this thread, install ahiron's audiomodlib version. It is available both on xda and if you browse the magisk repo for viper. It is truly flash and forget unless you use other mods which do not also use audiomodlib (all the good ones do) in which case i recommend uninstalling them and installing AML versions

If you listen to their advice and press those 3 buttons under ODIN flashing it is to late, happens to quickly and no time for it. Phone ends in bootloop and wont allow you to repeat process again. There is one advice here on forum how to bypass it. Simple, but problem with 3 buttons is there. You cannot be quick enough to press them as advised, way to fast ODIN flashing. Many tutorials even do not mention that you have to be quick to press those 3 buttons. All of this just take time in troubleshooting, surfing, and finding what happened.

What I've found is that on Oreo CRAP there's NO NEED for any special files, zip files, hacks or mods to get Viper working.

ALL YOU NEED TO DO is download Viper4Android FX from Magisk Manager downloads and install it. That's it. It works after that.

I've tested it a couple of times now. Currently using it on THIS ROM using the method described.

I'm not sure what you are talking about but it is surely not v4a related as you do not flash viper zips in odin Odin is not involved in the process in any way

Let me preface this first by saying YES YES YES I know there are a lot of variables here but what I'm wondering is if anyone has a settings baseline that might be a respectable starting point from which subsequent tweaks can be made? OR, I haven't quite delved into the app fully yet, are there maybe profiles that are available that might serve as a good launching pad from which subsequent tweaks can then be made?

Device: Galaxy S8 Exynos
Headphones: Pioneer HDJ 150; MEE M6 Pro

Thanks

I decided to stay for now on Samsung's native effects. Noticed it hits right in more situations and more music styles.
Do not know what it is but even with OEM option activated I am getting more than often FRP boot error, when flashing things from TWRP. And countless stock factory ODIN resets.

Soon will update some of the Oreo stock ROM, TWRP, Magisk, and it is it.

Does not work for me? Just download from Magisk and reboot? Setting in Viper has no effect
