Yes you will need the proper drivers. Check autoprime's all-in-one page for info on that. Everyone should take a chance and read that page. He provides a lot of detail to get these applications working.Do we need drivers? My surface pro 3 is not detecting my g5.

Have you downloaded the driver pack from this thread?So I cant get my bootloader unlocked.
1. usb debugging on
2. oem unlock checked
adb devices shows phone.
adb reboot bootloader reboots to bootloader.
fastboot oem unlock returns waiting for device.
fastboot getvar unlocked/all returns the same. PLZ HELP!

Is the device showing in device manager within windows? If so, does it have the yellow triangle on it?Ahhh Thought the LG United mobile drivers would work. Trying that now.

Just like that. You are having a driver issue, which is why it is not showing up in fastboot. I had a similar problem when I went to use the LG UP tool to flash the TOT and the drivers from the link I gave you solved my issue. This has worked for me in the past on other computers. Give it a go, and see if it fixes your driver issue.
