Anyone else having issues downloading the 11g KDZ firmware? The link provided times out when it reaches 72%, and never goes past that. Are there any mirror links to the KDZ?

It did that to me as well just let it sit there it will finish eventually.
Can somebody confirm the size of that download?

I think I got it last night (I just let it pull the file while asleep) ended up being just over 2gb.

Just checked its 2.71gb to be exact

That sounds right ;)
I'm thinking so also because I've just tried to pull out again and I'm getting that (1) you get if you've already downloaded something.

Another question just came to mind. That twrp that's posted by somebody other than the op.

@ MudaTrucka Is that for the H872 or for that person that had bricked their phone?

I've tried literally at least 30 or 40 times, I've been doing this for the last 45 minutes straight and it's the same exact thing over and over.

I reflashed TWRP over my recovery partition so I can continuously reboot into the recovery partition instead of powering down and going into LAF over and over.

It's not working, I thought about wiping system and restoring a backup over it but there's no roms to flash if something goes bad.

Did this take you a few hours or something? Like ball park did you reboot a hundred times or so?
I had to reboot twice to get mine to mount. Are you checking the allow system modification box?

I checked mine and it was 2.7. The one I just posted is for the H872, the only problem I've found with this recovery is it doesn't mount the SD card

Interesting,

I was having an issue with trying to download the recovery posted in the op. Didn't have my Linux hat on though and totally brained out about it and repos and all that with Linux so I ended up pulling the version he says to use from twrp itself.

Then the light went off and I realized I probably wasted my time going through that. Lol...

I don't think you even have to download the recovery, it's already there

Once I started reading the commands he posted and saw what's in that repo referenced it dawned on me.
Well assuming you have everything ready make sure you actually do follow word for word look like it says, pull the cable right as it starts flashing "xbl" and after that you should be fine

Is the link in the OP not working? If not yeah I'll do it in a lil bit after I plug my laptop in
Well it's coming from g-drive and maybe it's just me but I've always had slow downloads from there.

Plus if we're talking about that kdz file I was honestly surprised on how large it was.

(if somebody says, "that's what she said" I'll thank you. Lmao) [emoji12]

I was having the same issue in a way, except the file would start downloading, hit around 130mb then if I went to something else and came back it was starting over.

Note : I was using that aloha browser (experimentating) to get it and had changed my dns settings. No sure how much of an affect that had on it.

It works to mount it as read only, the issue is that I can't mount it and the check box for mounting the System partition does absolutely nothing other than just spitting out the previously posted errors in console.

My up speed is nowhere near as fast as my download speed so it'll take a minute but I started the upload, it was the h872 kdz you wanted, correct? Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lpu8kd5gi5s994f/H87211g_00_1218.kdz?dl=0
Yes that's what I was looking for, thanks for uploading that! It must've been a chrome issue cause it was doing the same thing when I tried downloading from your link. I used Firefox, and everything went fine. Gonna try to root this thing tonight!
