All the methods that I could find on youtube. There are a couple of options here on XDA that I've seen, but there isn't a very good tutorial on it. At least not for a squid like me ! :(

I think it could be rooted with a version of jb if you updated I don't think it can be. I think some people have safestrap' the device and loaded something else in another memory but I don't think it is really rooted

There are a few options on XDA that I've seen, but there's not a very good tutorial on how to do it for a newbie. It looks like you have to from my understanding of it downgrade to KitKat and then go to the root process.

Does kingroot work? If not you'll have to downgrade to kitkat run Kingoroot (yes, two are named eerily the same) and safestrap rooted ROM.
