How did you do the unlock?
Setup ADB and Fastboot on your device;
Connect your device to PC and using USB open the command line on your PC;
Perform the following command to boot your device in a bootloader mode:

adb reboot bootloader

Now, run a command to reboot a bootloader. You don’t have to employ all commands below. It is just fine to use one, which works for you. Have you found it? Go to the next step.

fastboot oem lock
fastboot flashing lock
fastboot oem relock

As far as the bootloader has been relocked, reboot your device using the next command

fastboot reboot

Request your unlock code ASAP. They still providing it.

Also, since xda now hosting a LIVE Q&A with Honor CEO, it would be good that all you guys go to this thred : https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-10/how-to/understand-chat-honor-ceo-friday-t3793317/page9

And questioning them regarding their decision of stopping bootloader unlock support.

Let them know that, all of us, here. Against that decision.

I plan to buy P20 lite on next week (beginning of june).

Their official statement:

Code:
Announcement

To provide better user experience and avoid issues caused by ROM flashing, the unlock code application service will be stopped for all products launched after 2018-5-24. For products released prior to this date, the service will be stopped [B]60 days[/B] after this announcement.

Thank you for your understanding. We will continue to provide you with quality services.

[B]2018-5-24[/B]
Huawei Device Co., Ltd
When I correctly understand the above I can still obtain unlock code, because P20 lite models were probably launched before 2018-5-24 and I have still cca. 2 months.

This method works flawlessly - using it for a few weeks now I'm very happy with it.
All I'm missing is the possibility to install Xposed for my new phone but I read about the XPosed module for Magisk; did anyone try this already?

I did not install TWRP so I'm a bit scared if I install the Xposed module for Magisk I'll screw up something and have a to start all over again. I want to use XPosed for the Physical Button Music Control module because that seems the only way to control my music player with the volume up/down keys (believe me, I've tried all the alternatives).

Anyone tried the Xposed module?

Hello!

I have two doubts.
1) Does this method work for the ANE-LX3?
2) If I root the device with magisk, can I continue to receive OTA and update without problems?

(sorry for my english, I'm using google translator)

Need help

Hello,

I've rooted, and after 2 days after a reboot, my p20 lite is not able to go through the logo screen. Not even with an hard reset.

I've patched the original ramdisk and still not working.

Please help!

Well, seems another user has the Magisk installed on his/her ANE-LX3 so that should answer your first question
Yesterday installed the latest OTA/Update with a size of 2.5Gb. It was no problem installing the update and the phone keeps working fine. But...... after such update you'll have to load the Magisk IMG to get root again. No biggy if you've already unlocked the phone before using the method described in this thread.
So, just flash the IMG file again and your rooted again after the update - the Magisk Manager will keep on working after this so no need to configure all over again :good:
